The staff was very polite, attentive, well informed and well equipped. The food was delicious and was served very timely. The ambiance was exactly the way it was supposed to be, soft lighting and candle lights. Will definately reccomend it!

This restaurant is perfect for a dinner. It is possible to sit outside and the ambience is wonderful. The food is really good, as well as the service! They have very good wines in their list. Thank you Boccadoro for a perfect evening in Venice!

On a rainy night, we were warmly welcomed (without reservations) into the cozy, attractively decorated restaurant. The meals, from starters to dessert, were well-prepared and presented, and the service was excellent!

We came because of an article one of us had read about the Venice restaurants that Venetians go to. Everything we read was justified -- and more so. Our food was absolutely fabulous from start to finish. The care and creativity that was put into every dish was evident. We thought the interior was beautifully decorated and we loved sitting... Luciano, the chef at this delightful tiny restaurant gave us a magical meal. The building is lovely with beautiful glassware. After being seated by a friendly waiter, Luciano came by to greet us. We asked him to choose our appetizer and he returned with a fantastic tuna tartar, sea bream tartar and shrimp ceviche. He then chose all our courses... More

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighbourhood Profile
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighbourhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
