Lovely setting in one of the quieter parts of Venice. You will definitely need to make reservations. Small menu as others have said but well worth it, I had guinea fowl ragu which was lovely. Friendly staff and good service.

This is a lovely little restaurant along a quiet canal in Cannaregio, one of the few neighborhoods where non-tourists roam. We had a scallop appetizer that we are still talking about weeks later, it was so good. The service was very good and we had...More

We especially enjoyed the creativity of and enthusiasm put into the dishes we tried. The eggplant starter and a new interpretation of a caprese salad (soup?) were very tasty. Unfortunately, the vitello tonnato slices were a little too thick and chewy, although the flavor was...More

Reservations important here. Setting is really the best on the small canal...quiet and few tourists even passing by. Tables outside in summer in demand and worth waiting for if necessary. The menu was limited and I think good for most but we did have some...More

Delicious food along a long canal near the Jewish Ghetto. Small menu of expertly prepared dishes. Great seafood, prepared much better than other well known establishments. Nice selection of wines. This was our second time and great again. And the staff is so nice.

Ate there a couple of nights ago and it's such a lovely little place. We had the meat taster menu but were able to substitute our starters for the delicious scallops. The guinea fowl primi was beautiful, but the secondi of suckling pig was even...More

As with many Venetian restaurants, a reservation is a must- we made one by walking in one night, finding availability the next evening. The charming staff speaks at least four languages, including Italian, English, French and German. Our meal, now some weeks ago, left me...More

Due to a plumbing emergency L'Anice Stellato had to stay closed on the evening we had booked but they had pinned a personal apology on the door for us! We managed to re-book for the last night of our stay and were very pleased that...More

I am a real traveller and this reataurant is a dissapointment for me. I read this restaurant in a famous gastronomy book written by Turkish expert. This guy never misled me except this one. T The portions are small and the foodis OK. You must...More

You definitely need to book a table to get in here. Whilst its a local restaurant and specialises in local cuisine it is hugely popular. The menu has been refined to a limited number of choices from pervious visits but the quality of cooking and...More

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby

Yep. My son and I didn't even have seafood for our meals. But know that the menu changes regularly. You should email them and ask for a picture of their most recent menu. They'll be happy to send it to you as I know their... More

Absolutely email them. They will respond with their most up to date menu and answer any questions you have. They do tend to do daily specials based on food/fish available that day which also changes their menu. But I know... More
