Lovely table in the piazza but the salad was inedible. I stuffed myself with grissini and bread instead. . Bland, insipid soggy shredded carrots. Absolutely tasteless. Female staff nice and friendly. I suppose the price you pay for the location.

We come back to this place each time we visit Padova. The food is as fantastic as the service and atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Had dinner here while spending our only night in Padua . Food was very good as was the service. The male hostess ( or at least the waiter in charge ) was not very friendly when we arrived and asked to be seated outside ....Other staff members were more accommodating and after a short wait we were seated in the outside area .More
Service is very nice. The food is excellent. We ordered bruscetta, pasta with duck ragu and pizza capriciosa as well as very good sparkling house wine (frizzante).
The bruschette portion was huge and made with wonderful bread, olive oil , sweet tomatoes and soft mozzarella. The meat of the tagliata was so tender and perfectly grilled, served with fresh non fatty oven potatoes and with a good glass of Merlot wine .The...Very kind service and a beautiful setting outside on the atmospheric piazza made our dinner perfect. Grazie di tutto!More
Nice restaurant at piazza della frutta. Vibrant area with street music. Friendly staff, pizza and wine were great
We were day-tripping through Padova and looking for a nice spot to have lunch. This place seemed to fit the bill. We ordered pizza and a baguette, which we thought would be a sandwich, but was much more like a calzone. That was the only...thing that was unexpected. Otherwise, the food was fine and the location on the piazza allowed us to take in the sights and and sounds of the market on a Sunday. The service was satisfactory as well.More
This restaurant has a terrace on the square or you can opt for the dining room around the corner on a quiet side street. We had bigoli with duck sauce, smoked fish, and pizza, all were delicious. The house wine is a bargain at ten...euros a liter, we had the glera, cold, sparkling, bubbly, easy to drink. The dining room is comfortable, service was friendly and efficient, prices reasonable. The menu has a large assortment of pizzas as well as other items.More
Strangely this restaurant on Piazza della Frutta is not a tourist trap and serves decent food. The uninspiring main dining room is just round the corner but all the open air tables are on the square. It is a no frills restaurant but the staff...are efficient and you can watch the square life whilst you eat. I particularly recommend fried tuna balls as starter and the gnocchi which is, as usual, filling. Incidentally the Aperol Spritz was one of the best I had tasted especially at €3.50! Prices for the food are also very reasonable given the location.More
I found it weirdly strange to find a restaurant near the main square, so I ended up going three times to this restaurant, which fortunately is good. I had two different pasta dish (recommended: paccheri filled with sausage and cream), antipasti, and a pizza, all...of them good. The terrace on Piazza della Frutta is pleasant too.More
We popped in for a quick dinner after walking past and we didn’t regret it! The food was nice (not the best in Italy but decent) and there was a good drinks selection. The service was so friendly and quick. Would recommend for a casual...meal.More
Went to Padua for the day from Venice. It was market day so was very busy. Went to Osteria al Peronio for lunch based on recommendation on TripAdvisor. So glad we did. Food was delicious, service very good (left us to relax, but also attentive...if we even looked their way), Vino della casa was tasty but not expensive (10 euro for 1 litre), staff friendly (even when we tried out our basic Italian), and homemade pudding was yummy. Would definitely go back!! Husband said, “if pizza at home tasted like this I would eat it far more often”. 😋More
It was really nice place to visit. As antipasti we ate marinated fish nem with onions and potato it was unique and delicious. After we ate pastas: gnocchi with pistacchio and pecorino, tagliatelle with porcini. They were tasty and delicious as well. We couldn't eat...anything after that, we were full. :) waitresses were really kind, and effective. This wasn't my first time here, first I ate here with my parents and I wanted to return, and know I think I will return later in time too.More
The outdoor seating area is nicely situated in one of the main piazzas in Padua. Pizzas were all ok but nothing special. We had nicer pizzas on our trip but a great spot to people watch on a busy evening. Reasonably priced for such a...good location.More
We were headed to another restaurant, but did not plan ahead for a reservation on a Saturday night. As we wandered looking for a place to eat, we spotted on free table at this restaurant's outdoor seating. It was reserved, but they had seating inside....Though we we have preferred outside, inside was definitely charming. We each ordered pizzas, one with ricotta, basil, and cherry tomatoes. The other had ham and white asparagus. Of all the pizzas we have eaten in Padua this week (many), this was the best crust yet. It was chewy without being overly crispy. The toppings were fresh tasting and generously covered the entire pizza. When we entered, the inside was empty. Half way into our meal, the place was filled. We are more than satisfied that we missed out on the other restaurant and landed here instead.More
