We were attracted by the acacia flower dishes (polenta, risotto) they advertised outside. But inside the restaurant we had to ask for them, because they weren't on the standard menu. The quality of the food was average, but the service was kind. The waiter made frequently funny remarks which was nice.

We booked this restaurant is the valley of aosta in the country know best for its cuisine. The bread was stale. Yes stale and I ain't joking. When we told the waiter he said that the bakeries are closed this week. The Lardo d'Anard plate was dismal to say it lightly. The dry filletto Milanese worst and the mixed fish... More

Having read the other reviews, we decided to go for the (fresher) dish of the day and that was pretty good. Service is a bit ... Erm... They try to be funny but Its almost clear that we are 'just tourist'. Prices are a bit high for what you get. The main course pricewise was ok but dessert to expensive... More

What a terrible experience! We stopped for lunch and happened upon this little restaurant. The mushroom ravioli was much too salty. The ratatouille tasted sour. We clearly explained that our son has severe nut allergies. To this the older water responded: "we have no nuts in the kitchen". Several of the main dishes listed walnuts and almonds as ingredients. One... More

Food was barely decent and way too expensive. Ordered assorted salami and pickled porcini to start with. A sad looking and skimpy plate of salami for 18 euros and 6 miserable pickled porcini straight out of the jar for 18 euros made our antipasti. Waiter was sarcastic to top it all. The most expansive and disappointing meal of our trip.... More

We where met by a friendly and courteous waiter who spoke English and was very helpful with his recommendation not to let the mother in law to share my dessert or her husband would leave her. I had the black truffle risotto and it was expertly cooked and finished with a smothering of shaved black truffles, the apple cake with... More

One word. Dreadful. Lacked atmosphere, lacked manners, the worst food we've had on this trip to Italy, nonchalant waiters when questioned about food (I had spaghetti bolognaise- literally boiled mince in tomato sauce, hardly any meat, no flavour, and cheap cheap pasta) - even I would be embarrassed to cook that at home. Wine was good but pricey. NOT worth... More

Whilst visiting Aosta on a down day from skiing, a grow of us dropped into the Borgo Antico for lunch, whilst most had pizzas, two of the group had fritto mist ode mare, looked great and they both said it was good. The staff were attentive and friendly, A friendly reasonable priced restaurant that I would visit again

Went there for lunch and the waiter as if we spoke French or Italian and when replied English our waiter seemed to have an attitude. I had a barbecued pork chop and tomato spaghetti which was good along with their house red wine. Prices seemed a little higher than the other restaurants.

Stopped in for lunch on a lovely sunny day, the location is fantastic on one of the rustic old streets of Aosta. The service was good for us, despite the lack of a clear English speaker and our waiter was laughing and joking with us. We had a Fondue and a pasta dish. My partner said the Fondue was delicious...
