A bit hidden on the first floor of a city block. It begins with a prosecco and an amuse bouche so you know these are serious foodies. We had the tasting menu of classic piedmontese food. The staff were really helpful and engaged and obviously pleased that we were enjoying the food. Veal with tuna sauce was amazing! and pasta... More

Highly recommend this little restaurant ... staff were very good indeed and so was the food. The set menu was equally of high quality and nice variety

This was a long, copious, and delicious meal. The waiters are pleasant, there isn't much choice but what you get is very very good. Dress up and enjoy

Visited this hidden gem upon recommendation of a local. Not easy to find, it proved a great discovery. Excellent local cuisine and a wine room with real treasures, very reasonably priced. The expert service was very personal, the Chef appeared several times - a truly enjoyable evening, highly recommended for anyone looking for a casual, local home type atmosphere of... More

I was a bit disappointed in the wine we selected, but otherwise we had a great experience here. It's as though you are eating in someone's apartment. The service was very friendly, they made breaded veal for my kids and both my husband and I had excellent dishes.

I ordered the "Menu Degustazione" which is the chef's tasting menu at EUR 25*. This included six courses, plus four different wines to accompany each course (*wine is extra). The portions were appropriately small but satisfying. This is a very good value for Torino, and especially for Americans (USD 28). I tasted so many different Piemonte specialties that I cannot... We like traditional Italian food and C'era una Volta is a restaurant that is traditional in decor, service and food. The first-floor restaurant is split into two dining areas and we were almost alone in the second of these, although we were rather glad after a while to be at a distance from the live piano music which was less... Great place sat next to Torino football club coaches. Locals eat there. Must be good! First floor restaurant in apartment block.
