This is an elegant restaurant in a central position, walking distance from Piazza Duomo. The ambience is smart with wood panels around it and red leather chairs. It is very popular with affluent locals and foreigners too. The service is very attentive and the fare is, as per the name, very good Emilia's regional specialties. Although it does have an... More

We were recommended this hotel by our hotel conceirge. If you were not a local you would not know about this as it is hidden away down a side street. The restaurant is very cosy and high class. We did not make any reservstions but turned up and they were busy! We waited in the bar for 5 minutes. Quickly... More

This unusual restaurant is based in an outside courtyard. Service was very good, food lovely and just a genuinely nice experience. Good place for couples, romantic setting, something a bit different!

Tip: if you sit outside ask for the mosquito repellent. The salmon was cooked almost to my husband's liking, but he does like it a little raw. I had the Boneless Guinea fowl and it was very tasty. The service was good, they seemed a bit hurried. The dessert was reminiscent of La Madeleine in the US: a tart with... More

My wife and I ate at the restuarant on 10th June. Wonderful meal beautifully presented. The service was first class. Our waiter was helpful and well informed. We would recommend the restuarant without hesitation

I reserved this restaurant over the phone while living here in Barcelona and just over the phone the man was extremely friendly and helpful. I was going over with my mum because it was here birthday and at the restaurant i wanted to be greeted with champagne and have a small apple for desert with a candle. When it came... More

We ate here again. They moved 3 years ago and the food was good again. If you do not get to Piemonte try their Piedmontese special, bollito.

I was recommended this restaurant by the hotel I was staying at, looking for a good authentic local Italian. Instead, I found a lifeless restaurant, with lifeless, limp food. It feels like a restaurant that was something special once, but had given up a long time ago. I'm sorry to say it but it's true. The food was average at... More

I had cold cut entree with gnocco fritto, which was good but nothing special. Tortellini with ragu were great and fruit with ice cream was also rather good. Staff were kind but a but hurried. Overall a good experience, I give it 3 stars because for the high price I was expecting something more in terms of food and service... More

Staying in Navigli

Neighbourhood Profile
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
