I'm quite surprised to see some of the negative reviews. We had a really fun evening with great food and wine. Enjoyed a delicious pasta dish with clams and the beef carpaccio with rocket and Parmesan was very tasty. Venue doesn't look much from the outside, which is part of the appeal. The staff were friendly and made an effort... More

First of all you have to know the restaurant, otherwise you won't go in. The restaurant acually looks really nice and the water makes a romantic atmosphere - but take some moscito spray with you. The restaurant was a recommendation from friends so we gave it a try. It was not a nice experience. The waiter (i guess it was... More

The entrance to the restaurant seems special as it looks like a pub of sort. But once you're seated inside near the little fountain, the place starts showing it's appeal. The food was good but not extraordinary.

Went hear on a Saturday night of our weekend in Milan. Walking in we were unsure as it looked like entrance to a dodgy night club. It did not disappoint, food was great great especially beef dishes and steak. We got in without booking which had been recommended, and early on I though this was ok, by the time we... More

The almost nude pin-up-girl posters above each table were our first clue that we must have been led astray when this restaurant was recommended. It is in a fun neighborhood, they serve a perfectly good average table wine and the food is pretty average. The bread was yucky & dry. And although the parma ham was being carved in the... More

We went here with two infants and two couples, all perfect. The wine, the vitello with ruccola and pomodoro is devine. So also the pasta and others. The entrance is just strange, but the inside area is a great place and friendly service, even with our not so well behaved kids.

Favorite joint from many years. Good with Tuscan food. My favorite is Fiorentina and spaghetti with clams. Nice cozy ambient , friendly service. Music on the last visit was too monotonous.

The place is easily accessible where you can get a subway train to Duomo and then hop on a Tram to reach the area which is quite nearby the centre of the City. A short walk is all it takes. The best part about this place is the ambience. From the front door you travel in the building to an... More

Staying in Navigli

Neighbourhood Profile
Navigli
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
