I stayed one month in Milan and tried various Indian restaurants, but this place I like the most because of food and friendly nature of owner. I went with my friends 2 times, only because of good quality food. For Indian customers...ask Dev to prepare Indian tea. :p

We were staying in a hotel nearby and went for dinner. We have tried several other Indian restaurants in town over the past few years and this one was by far our favorite. Everything we ordered was outstanding. The portions were large, and we couldn't finish everything even though it was so delicious and we wanted to! The staff were... More

Atmosphere was ok but food was very average and without any excellent taste, complies with the cost.

This place came highly recommended but was pretty much a disappointment. Starters had a tired feel to them, though bhajis and pakodas (sic) were tasty enough. Samosas inedible, however, with the interiors a damp stodge. After that, my korma was a bit oversweet & the quantitiy of rice amazingly skimpy for two people. The wife's chick pea dish was about... Good food, friendly, relaxed service and nice environment. Reasonable price and they had lassi (both mango and rose water).....cannot complain about anything, it met expectations. Wouldn't choose it for a special occasion but a good night out with friends and spacious enough for a pram.

Courtesy of the staff, good service, excellent food, variagated options and decent location make the Garam Masala one of the best Indian restaurant in town. The cuisine seems to stick a lot to the one I tasted at other places in the worls with prevalence of Indian communities. Very fresh food also when delivered.

Excellent Indian restaurant. Abundant still delicious. Some dishes were totally new to me (and I've tasted quite some!). The place is well furbished and the personnel is extremely kind. A must for Indian food lovers!

I was delighted with the food, having travelled to India many times. The service was attentive and advice freely given. Some earlier reviews were negative, based on my experience I have no idea why. I will be back again and again.

Staying in Navigli

Neighbourhood Profile
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
