We arrived to this restaurant at the end of the lunch service but they still accepted to serve us. We had some plates of cheese and sausage based on the recommendation from the waitress. It was pretty good and the staff was quite friendly. They were closing when we finished our meal but still took the time to serve us... More

Loved loved loved it. Amazing service, recommendations, and food. Great location and the meat cuts were amazing. Highly recommend, and going back for a second time tonight.

If it weren't in the nice, central location it is in, I truly believe it would not manage to stay open. The food is very average: I had a main course and a quiche, the latter was okay, but main was a small serving and was not very tasteful and not cooked well. The waiter was nice, but fare from... We took a long walking tour of Milano today. We decided to reward our tired feet and went into the nearest outdoor cafe we could find. With luck that was Le Rosse. We were greeted by a very nice young waiter whose name I didn't get unfortunately. He was extremely helpful throughout the meal, providing menu and wine selection guidance.... More

This bistro has the potential of being a good little local for wholesome local food. I am sure locals love it, because clearly that is whom they serve. If you have the whiff of tourist about you then you are ignored. Not only my table but I noticed others had the same shabby service. After ordering our drinks three times... More

“Le rosse” is named after the red slicing machines that stand out in the middle of this cosy place that specialises in offering a variety of high quality cured meats not so easy to find around. On top of the plate of ham that comes complimentary with the glass of wine, I had a plate of Nebrodi black pig ham... More

Waitress was extremely helpful. The pasta liked with lemon and ricotta was delicious. Salads were fresh. The back waiter gave us a sampling of prosciutto for free.

What an interesting little restaurant. We went there thinking ( sorry my wife and I) it was just a normal little Italian restaurant. When we got the menu I said wow, it is a specialist restaurant for cured meat and amazing 'fresh' cheese such as ricotta and mozzarella. Try the San Danielle prosciutto, Napoli picante and definitely the Lombardy cheeses... More

Located in center of Milano Le Rosse offer perfect choice of prosciutto, salami, choice of local cheese and salads just adequate for quick and perfect lunch. For me it was the best prosciutto I tasted during my several visit in Italy.

Staying in Brera

Neighbourhood Profile
Brera captures the real essence of the city. It is an excellent mix between history and modernity, where tradition meets innovation. Here design and beauty reign. On Via Brera there are the famous Pinacoteca (galleries), the National Gallery of Modern and Antique Art, and the Academy of Fine Arts. Interior design boutiques and intellectual cafes are typical of the district. Walking along Via Madonnina is a must to admire the architecture of buildings and the design stores. On Sundays, going to the local market is an unmissable opportunity for fashion, style and art. Tucked away, there is the Orto Botanico di Brera botanical garden that seems like a painting framed in an ancient fairy structure. Last but not least, it’s worth a visit to Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli with its Planetarium, the Civico Museo di Storia Naturale (Natural History Museum).
