These servizio stops, operating all overItaly, not just Lombardy, are just superb. They are spaced about every 50 kms, so you don't have to wait too long for whatever you need. The toilets are clean and maintained, the coffee is great and they sell all manner of goodies such as great chocolate, biscotti, electronic/phone/internet goodies, wine, pasta, soft toys, pencils... If you are looking for a place to eat something fast very close to the Duomo, consider this place. The service is fast (and they can handle English), the pizzas were great (the selection is good, too), the terace was clean.

I usually think that eating so close to a major tourist attraction, in this case just steps away from Milan's Duomo, would be a bad decision. This was definitely not the case at the Autogrill. We had good quality Italian fast food that was excellent value- 2 sandwiches (1 was hot) and a bottle of water for 6 euros 80.... More

We ate here early evening and the food availability was poor. It took ages to be served- seemed like too much trouble. They did not have what we wanted so we ended up with burgers and chips. After waiting well over 20 minutes we were told they had run out of chips and would slice some potatoes and cook these.... More

My rating is based on this as a drinks venue, I didn't eat here; as an outside location for some cocktails whilst you watch people walk past and soak up the atmosphere of the piazza this is a great venue (it couldn't actually be closer to Duomo). The lunchtime drinks were great, the bar snacks served within the cover charge... More

I fell in love with their chocolate croissants because the filling is quite generous. The cafe has a nice view of the piazza and it's calm at the same time.

The best vanilla ice cream I have ever tasted. Definately worth the €3.50 for a tub of 3 healthy scoops.

To be fair we only decided to have lunch here because they had empty tables and we were tired and did not want to look around too much. But we regretted our decision. The service was bad and the food quality below average. Avoid this place as there are much better options nearby for the same price and do not... More

The best thing about this place (I have deliberately avoided referring to it as a restaurant) is the view across Piazza del Duomo. Staff not very pleasant or helpful. The staff were not impressed by the quantity of food we ordered. The salad and pizza were very poor. The pizza probably looked like the one on the packet. I have... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
