We wanted a cheap restaurant for lunch and made the mistake of being lured into this restaurant. This would be a good, finish dining dinner restaurant but turned out expensive for a pizza/pasta lunch snack (€60 for 2)

I went to Papa Francesco for dinner. The people there were clearly happy and fun loving and their customers were all infected by their joy. They played music from a speaker out into the street and they seemed to have fun turning it up to attract people walking by. I saw more smiles here than any place I had been... More

Visited this restaurant on good Friday afternoon around 3pm. Milan was very busy and we saw this restaurant had some empty tables. The service appeared to be very quick on first sitting at the table. After this point the service was truly terrible, after we had ordered. Despite a service charge we had to ask for bread. We ordered the... More

We came for a late lunch to this restaurant and we're seated quite quickly. Our order was taken quite quickly too but the food took an excessive amount of time to arrive. Tables around us were also complaining. Well as we are on holiday and in no rush it wasn't too much of a problem. The food when it arrived... More

We walked up, and were greeted immediately by Papa Francesco. We sat outdoors and enjoyed the sights and sounds of Milan. The service was prompt and super friendly! But most importantly, the food was absolutely amazing. I had the Lasagne special, and it has destroyed all other lasagne for me forever. I will always remember this one and compare all... More

We looked for an hour to find a place for dinner, which was 1/ still open at 21:00 2/ affordable and 3/ had good food. This place did very well. Friendly staff, excellent food. The funny thing is that the owners seem to be in a public war with the neighbouring restaurant with public display of dismay (written signs accusing... More

Near la Scala, we first stopped by for a mid afternoon break after walking the city. We had such an enjoyable time, we returned the next evening for dinner. We were not disappointed! It is a family run restaurant, with great service, homemade pasta, flavorable food, great atmosphere. We will definitely return when in Milan.

This restaurant is located on a side street around the corner from the Duomo in Milan. It's run by Papa and Mama Francesco and their son. All three are incredibly nice and welcoming, and they really enjoy hosting people for dinner. It's clearly more than just a business for them, and the food is awesome. Their specialty is penne a... We initially came here just for a coffee, but to find a cafe/restaurant that just serves coffee in the centre at certain times is a nightmare! This place had only just opened so we were first in. Lovely decor, old but well kept. Traditional is the best wording. The guy who welcomed us, I'm presuming owner? He was amazing! Charming... More

Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
