The Tombon used to be a regular haunt for ex pats in the 70s. We thought we’d pop in to see how it had changed. It’s still a very Art Nouveau and Deco mix. It’s now more of a restaurant than a bar. Anyway we...More

We just looked for a place to have a coffee in the afternoon and a drink, but in this area there are really not many places open during the weekend. So we stumbled into this one. They have the original interior from the beginning of...More

After spending time walking around Milan we were all looking forward to our dinner at El Tombon. Our drinks arrived to satisfy our thirst which had built up after an active afternoon - so far so good. Then the waitress spilled some drink over one...More

there are plenty of fashion bars and restaurants in milano. the el tombon defenitely has nothing to do with fashion. it's pure style in a historical location in the center of milano.

On a quiet aimless meander through Milan we came upon this lovely stylish place. It's beautiful outside, with lovely deco windows, reminiscent of Rennie Mackintosh. Internally it's also wonderful, the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, telling us it housed Italy's very first bistrot. Initially,...More

Stopped here with my wife (native Milanese), as we were staying in a nearby hotel. Most people were here for the excellent aperitivo deal (buy a drink, have access to a buffet of appetizers). I ordered the 'dressed cutlet' (cotoletta di maiale vestita). Very good,...More

Great place for late night drinks. A lot of tasteful craft draft beers, nut it doesn't stop there, they also serve a wide range of nice cocktails. Friendly service included!

While walking along San Marco looking for a place to have dinner, we stooped in front of this restaurant. We weren't sure we wanted to go in but asked about the menu. We decided to give it a try and were not disappointed--in fact it...More

A local recommended to visit this restaurant and we had some of the best food at a great price. The portions were very generous and service was good. I recommend trying the ossobuco con risotto alla milanese, the cotoletta alla milanese, and the spaghetti al...More

Brera
Brera captures the real essence of the city. It is an
excellent mix between history and modernity, where
tradition meets innovation. Here design and beauty
reign. On Via Brera there are the famous Pinacoteca
(galleries), the National Gallery of Modern and
Antique Art, and the Academy of Fine Arts. Interior
design boutiques and intellectual cafes are typical of
the district. Walking along Via Madonnina is a must to
