Food taste amazing! The staff were very friendly, very professional and the most important, very helpful. As a person with Celiac Disease, I always find hard to get gluten free meals in restaurants. This time I was surprised! The waitress said that she will go to chef and ask him, what he can prepare for me. After 5 minutes she... More

San Viglio is just about the highest point in Bergamo, topped only by the nearby castello. It takes two cable car trips to the extent that visitors look down on the Cita Alta. We dined and overlooked the lights of greater Bergamo so much so we returned the next day to find we were in cloud. Still the trip was... More

This place well worth a visit just because of the views from the dining room over Bergamo. The service is very efficient and diligent. The Ravioli di carne and the pizza Capricciosa were a good election as well as the Salomi plate as antipasti. The Tiramisú was the perfect end for a romantic lunch.

We have got a table by the window. The view was great. We had a lunchmeal: as first course king prawns with tomatoes and polenta, as second course my husbond had turbot an I had tuna with wegetables. The quality of the meal was average.

Initially just called in for a drink to enjoy the view but we were easily talked into returning for an evening meal. We were not disappointed. Staff were very accommodating allowing us to share starters and food was all first class.

In the seven days we were in Bergamo we visited this place twice, once for lunch and the other for our final evening meal. The views of the surrounding countryside, especially during the day, are lovely and it's a perfect setting. The food and service are very good. Couldn't fault the pizza and pasta dishes. When you get out of... More

Maybe one of the best views whilst dining I have ever had. It isn't cheap but for a birthday celebration its a good way to enjoy your pranzo. The turbot that I had was excellent. Follow it with a quick walk around the castle that is 100m away. You need to take two funiculars to get to Alta Citta.

We were seated outside, with stunning views overlooking Bergamo. The food was sublime and the staff amazing! Definately can recommend.

If you go here, do not be the blunt tourist. Be there and do as is done around you; order lunch, have a bottle of wine with that, do not be loud, make selfies. Instead, enjoy the superb food, view and experience a walk up the hill to san vigilio has rewarded you with.
