This is the historical restaurant of the city. The ice cream and brioches are good but the rest is really nothing much and frankly overpriced. Just try the Stracciatella if you fancy.

We had only take-away ice cream here. ou have to try their stracciatell flavour- it's believed that it was created here and it's for sure delicious. They also sell candied chestnuts here (and it's also an ice-cream flavour). You can see that it's a place with long tradition.

The best ice cream we ever ate, large selection of flavors, always fresh. The Staff very polite, quick service. Ice cream in Bergamo? Only by La Marianna.

Found this nice restaurant by chance. Had a nice, hit cup of coffee and our first taste of the polenta cake. Both were great. Attentive waiter as well. Large array of cakes and chocolates that are available.

Visited twice in the evening and sat in the outdoor area for ice cream, coffee and cold drinks. Excellent service from a very pleasant and helpful waiter. Visited once during the afternoon when it wasn't particularly busy and waited for approx 15 mins without being acknowledged, even though other groups were being served. Went inside to try to order and... More

We went to the restaurant for dinner. The restaurant is upstairs above the pasticceria. We had a quiet, elegant dinner on the lovely outdoor terrace. The food was wonderful and the service was excellent. The price of the menu included wine. Stracciatella was invented here so, of course, we had the Stracciatella ice cream for dessert!

This is the most famous and appreciated restaurant in Bergamo for its long tradition as a pastry shop and restaurant. It is well known to be the creator of the Stracciatella ice-cream taste in 1961 and I think it should be a due stop for anyone who is sightseeing CIttà Alta and the Venetian Walls.

We wandered in, my daughter and I, not expecting much on a warm Sunday, just after noon. It had been raining heavily in Bergamo with some thunder and lightning activity, so we were seeking shelter more than anything. They found us a table and we ordered the Tuscan tasting menu. It was three courses, with amuse bouches, a bottle of... More
