On a visit to La Spezia in 08, my wife & I could not get a seat in the adjoining restaurant and were referred to Mazelao for panagacchi. Not knowing what was in store for us, we were amazed and delighted with the meal,the atmosphere & the camaraderie of the restaurant. We were recommended this place by a local and were not dissapointed! This restaurant just does Panigacci (a local dish of round flat bread served with meat and cheese) and they do it very well! Prepare to walk (if not roll) away full and content! The quality of product served here is second to none. The cost is very reasonable.... More

We were recommended this restaurant by a local and were very excited to try some traditional local food however we were disappointed by our experience. The food itself was good - excellent cheese and meat - but the service was quite average and it was very overpriced for what you receive. Furthermore, we didn't even receive some of the items...
