We recently dined at Da Eraldo and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food, atmosphere and service were all excellent. The restaurant accepts reservations which are advisable. Reasonable prices and delicious, high quality cuisine.
Monterosso al Mare is the biggest town in Cinque Terre and has a ton of restaurant choices for dinner. For our 3rd of 7 nights, we chose Da because it had great reviews and opened at 6 PM which is very unusual for the area....Maybe that’s why people were lining up at 545 PM? Here are some of the pros and cons: Pros: - Most of the food was heavenly, including a shared Vegetable Platter and desserts. Why can’t they offer such a platter in the US? - Service was friendly and helpful…especially for 2 people with very limited Italian. Fortunately, the server spoke English and smiled a lot. - Bread tasted great which is an important factor for gluttons like us - Value was excellent - Seating is both inside and outside, but we made sure to go out given the warm weather. Cons: - The main one…really the only thing worth mentioning…was my wife’s Ravioli with Pesto was drowning in sauce. She loves pesto, but it tested her endurance. - Outside tables and chairs were on uneven pavement which made our meal “fun” or challenging…depending on how you view things We’d go back to Da Eraldo, but ask them to tread lightly on the pesto.More
This is an excellent restaurant. We are here our first night in Monterosso. They don’t take reservations but they give you a buzzer and you can sit at the wine bar next door and wait. Food was excellent and the service was very good. Would...definitely go back.More
Excellent meal and service. Starting when we enquired about a reservation as we walked back to our hotel - very welcoming and helpful - to the meal itself - best we had in a 2 week vacation - it was a real treat.
It was great! We booked the day prior. You need a reservation. Service and food are great! On a charming little corner in old town Monterosso. Busy, so don’t worry if they serve you quickly. We loved the bread, house red wine, lovely salad to...share, pasta with pesto and a seafood dish. All dishes are great. House wine is the best!More
Did take away pizza, we had 3 different pizzas. Very average tasteless pizza, with very little cheese. Would not return.
Good food, nice ambiance, but very rushed. Would like to peruse the menu without pressure, would like to enjoy a glass of wine.
Excellent food and service. Delicious seafood pasta and great atmosphere. Would definitely go back. Loved the experience.
Excellent restaurant, great service and delivered fairly fast. Sitting outdoor is recommended with a view to the streets. Must be booked in advance. This is a restaurant we will visit again.
We had a great dinner here. Ordered the carbonara and calamari and they were both great. We were told to book a table which was very helpful and meant we avoided any wait for a table. Would highly recommend.
Booked this place after reading reviews (definitely book in summer months, we had to book three nights ahead). Lovely menu, not too big, which I like. Pasta was delicious, great choice of sauces, ravioli, meat... All the dishes coming out were just fabulous. We had...pappardelle with Bolognese x 2, one with carbonara, a mozzarella ravioli with walnut sauce and another ravioli. All very, very nice. A real pasta evening, that I would highly recommend. Quick service, and friendly.More
Beautiful spot for lunch or dinner. Great appetizers, lovely seafood pasta. Awesome, friendly service. Definitely recommend!
Outstanding! I had the pleasure of eating here 4 times, 2 lunches and 2 dinners, the food here is so fresh and plentiful I really cannot say much more other tax you have to try it for your self ,The staff are super friendly and...knew how to pair local wines with our dish's as well as giving me a nice memento on my last meal. All in all I cannot say a bad thing about this restaurant and I can honestly say it was a highlight in my month away in Italy.More
Just came across this really cute restaurant with an authentic Italian feel. The food was to die for and the service was excellent. As a solo traveller you appreciate friendly staff so much! Would definitely recommend to any foodies!
