We tried this place on the recommendation of our airbnb host. You would expect a place overlooking the seas would be suspect on the food side. Nothing fails be further from the truth. A must stop on your visit to monterosso. You can enjoy a meal while looking the at the vistas provided by the Mediterranean Sea. My family ordered... More

My husband and I aren't seafood eaters and as you can imagine in Cinque Terre there is a lot of seafood. This was located near our hotel and recommended by our hotel. Bread was very nice & we started with the mixed meats as well as mixed cheese plates - which were very good. Then we moved on to spaghetti... More

I like pesto but seriously the trofie (pasta) pesto dish at Al Pozzo was the best I ever tasted. We were here for lunch. The guide for our group of 22 had made a reservation so we were immediately seated. Service was also good. If ever back in Monterosso we will return.

Great meal all around! Many of the unique pasta dishes are for sharing - we did and loved it! Also split the swordfish and tiramisu - all great! This place larger inside than we guessed from outside - but it's worth asking if they have space - we were in a back room w adorable decor :)

We thought we'd have a "small" lunch. That wasn't possible at Al Pozzo. I ordered the fritto miso, which was big enough for three people and moderately priced. The best part was the squid....the most perfect squid I have ever eaten. However, the sardines, anchovies, and prawns were also delicious; and the plate included a large scampi and chunks of... Incredible risotto with seafood, bruschetta with pesto and tomatoes and great branzino (white fish). Lovely, kind service. Good local wine. The risotto for 2 people was huge. We ate outside and watched all the tourists and locals walk up and down our street on a lovely sunny day. Great experience

While in the area we ate here twice. The fritto misto di mare was incredible as well as the mixed fish grill. I was a welcome meal after several hours at the beach. Would definitely eat here again. Try the lobster, it was phenomenal.
