Went there on purpose. Delicious food. Tortellini in brodo were so delicious my friend and I went for a second portion. Can't miss it if you are in Modena

When you walk in and you find the 80+ owner with her sister sitting on the table and rolling out the pasta you know you are in for a good meal, the service was homely, the wine list small but good and well priced, the atmosphere simple... the food however was exceptional from start to finish on a rustic home,... tucked away in a Modena side street and up some stairs we ventured, there are some od reviews about de Enzo, if you want posh posh then its not for you, if you want real Modena then go , but book first, we tried to go again the following night but no joy. We were found the last table, given... More

Per the title, this pasta dish served with butter and sage was the highlight for me. The zampone was also good. The service was a little random and slow and unfortunately the wine list a bit basic. We had the Barbera d'Asti which wasn't great. I've still given a 'very good' rating because the pasta in my opinion, was first... More

My wife (disabled) climbed (with difficulty) the stairs to the restaurant at 1:30 PM. She asked for a table and was told they were booked. She asked if she could wait until a table became available and was bluntly replied "no". While climbing down she noticed several people going the opposite way and staying in line for a table. Then... There is a moody italian grandmother that has the nicest smile, but can also kick you out if you stay too long on a saturday night! Very funny, as it adds to the mystique! Family run, one of the waiters is the grandson. Fresh, homemade delicious pasta and deserts. Highly recommend the codfish fritatta... also typical in Portugal!

Well, let's start from this: Modena is one of the World capitals of great food, so almost every place you go there is great. This local trattoria located in the marvellous town centre is no exception. From the pasta dishes to the meats to the dessert and the wine, everything is top quality and tastes fantastic. The service, as usual,... More

I am originally from Emilia in Modena for a business trip with some other people from all over europe. Even if the restaurant was busy they manage to find a table for all of us that show up without reservation. Had gnocco fritto tigelle and mixed salami all excellent. The pasta was also good. Did not try the meat but... More
