We discovered Buca Manzoni in 2012 and had our second lunch there this month. Both experiences were thoroughly enjoyable and satisfying. The menu is supplemented by specials, though one can enjoy a leisurely lunch without straying from the antipasto selections! We found the staff to be helpful, attentive, and very friendly. The restaurant seems to attract a local clientele, which... More

Stopped here before a visit to the Medieval Museo. Good traditional Bolognese food, good wine, great breads and excellent service. Not too crowded after the lunch rush.

Lovely trattoria at the end of Via Manzoni, small menu but food was delicious, the pork was melt in the mouth. Very good value house wine, Sangiovaise 5e half litre. All started well, welcomed, seated and order taken. It went a little off when a large party arrived which stretched the three staff, one who was clearly learning. It appeared... More

The food is tasty although the menu is somewhat limited. The location is nice and service was okay if somewhat erratic with unexplained long delays. There is nothing particularly bad it's just not that great.

We came here as it was round the corner from our flat and we'd seen it advertised in a guidebook (the menu in the local dialect was also a draw!). The food was fantastic and allowed us to sample great examples of some local specialities: crescentine and tortellini in brodo were superb, as was the bollito misto. 10/10 for the... More

I can't believe in 2016 this restaurant survives with appalling service and lower than average food quality. We made a booking which they entered for the wrong day. We were given a table at 830 and received the first course at 1015pm, almost 2 hours. No explanation not even an service in all this time asking if we would like... More

I cannot understand how our experience of this restaurant differs so much with everyone else! Having read the other reviews we booked this restaurant for 21 people several weeks in advance to celebrate a 50th birthday. When we arrived we were obviously not welcome, there were only 3 members of staff on front of house who were unable to cope... More

Good evening, Mrs. Hilary are Roberta, the manager he had with her correspondence by mail and that the reserved tables. I read with much sadness his review and I apologize for the long wait due to a disattenza the room organization. I'm sorry, especially because you had the impression of not being well received, attitude that no one of the... More

We ate here on our first night in Bologna on the recommendation of a local friend. Determined to try Bolognese specialities we were grateful to the charming waitress who suggested we ordered on portion between two of the salumi platter (huge selection of mortadella, salami, prosciutto and other delicious meats plus soft cheese), the crescentine (the explanation that it is... The traditional bolognese cuisine here at Buca Manzoni makes it well worth a visit for any visitor to Bologna. Our meal was fantastic here.

Local renovated and traditional place in the pedestrian area of Via Manzoni, alongside the city's major museums: the Medieval Museum, Palazzo Fava, Oratory of St. Columban. The restaurant has 95 seats divided into a large room, an area closer to the part devoted to an inn and a private dining rooms where you can book for parties or business lunches which has a capacity of about 30 people. The cuisine is typical Bolognese prepared with fresh local products and accompanied by wines from the hills of Bologna and local birer. At lunch the restaurant is also ready for a quick lunch and economic. And possible to connect wifi and docking stations for laptops and mobile phones. Disabled access and bathroom with toilet for children. Access granted to animals prior communication with the manager. We are closed in Tuesday.
