- good location (historical center) - lots of books, not only cooking books - lectures and talks with writers and other kinds of artists - food wasn't good (I ordered typical 'spaghetti alla bolognese') - near Eataly there are a lot of restaurants and places to eat (better)

Much much much smaller than NYC. Not a lof of food choices at the restaurant but very good and local. More space for library downstairs than food.

This is a book shop disguised as an Eataly. Many great places to eat on the same street. Go to Tamburini which is close by.

In November of 2016 my wife and I ate at the Eataly in Bologna. A recommendation from the people we rented an apartment from in Bologna. The restaurant inside is in the middle of a book store/specialty grocery store with many items to sell. The tables are setup around the food items and books. If this is your first time... More

Unfortunately nothing exceptionally interesting. It is nested among very interesting eateries, so,from that point of view there is nothing attractive about it. The items it offers are competing with the great stores on the outside: cheeses, fresh pasta, spectacular vegetables, meats, high quality poultry, fresh fish.....what else??. I like Eataly of NY, and even the one on the "autostrada", but... More

This was our first visit to an Eataly restaurant and what a delight! The bookstore environment was very interesting, the menu great, the service impeccable, the food delicious, and the wine for grabs (literally from the many rows of wine shelves - though not free!). Delighted to know that this chain of fine Italian restaurants is expanding overseas.

I ate fish and vegetables and it was very tasty! I would come back. Nice place, good wine. Just the waiters could be faster.

The Eataly is a fabulous place with a deli shop and a restaurant cum cafe type of eatery. It's very casual, lots of choice and a good place to grab a bite whilst doing the tour of Bologna's inner sanctum. It was popular with families and locals.

Consistently great authentic Italian food. This is not an expensive restaurant with a huge selection of dishes. It's authentic food like that you would eat in the home of a family living in Bologna. Large servings, great staff (but busy during the lunch hour), and an excellent wine selection. I really like the tagliatelle with authentic Bolognese. Highly recommend for... More

Visited for the nth time during my last trip. I buy books in Italian at this location. Pleasant ambiance with a good choice of history books on the last (3rd floor). I tried the coffee shop on the ground floor in the past and it was generally ok. Location has foodstuff choices on the floors plus small restaurant / enoteca... More
