I'm not surprised the most accents I heard were not Italian. Pizza base is too thick to be genuine Italian pizza, Parmesan is from a packet. Service is slow and the artichokes on my pizza where just the stubs with no sign of any flavour. Would not recommend

Popped in for a quick bite to eat after a long day on the tourist trail. Great pizza, good wine, good prices and fast service. Only problem was that as I was on my own they sat me at a table right in the middle of the restaurant and practically on top of two young Canadian guys - I know... More

This is a small back alley pizza joint in my favorite area of Rome. It seems, based on our one experience, to be extremely popular among all types: locals with young families, students, friends, and tourists. We got 3 pizzas, a salad, and wine. The wine was cheap but undrinkable. The salad large and fresh. The pizza was ridiculous on... More

Nice place for a lovely pizza. The crusts are thin and crispy. The pizza's are nicely priced. The staff could be more friendly

We were recommended this place by a friend and it was a perfect lunch spot. The pizza was great and their house wine was some of the best (and least expensive) we had our whole trip. They have several bruschetta options- I recommend the blue cheese and honey. Also they have this Nutella Calzone. No words needed on that! The... More

The pizza is made with minimum ingredients, enough to highlight their perfect taste. Simple traditional Italian pizza. Definitely recommended.

Wonderful pizza and house wine in a tiny alley in Trastevere. We ordered the "small" dessert calzone with chocolate & ricotta cheese. It was a delicious volcano of molten chocolate and cheese and could've served four people. We did our best to polish it off with just a party of two.

After a recommendation, we decided to try Dar Poeda . The food was ok. Pizza was pretty good....but the service was the worst service we have ever had. The waitresses were very rude, unhelpful and very gave the worst service. Very unwelcoming and rude.

Great, simple pizza. Perfect crust (meaning thin, light, good chew and flavor, good char). We had a long wait but went around the corner for a glass of wine. Lively crowd of interesting people from Rome as well as from other countries.

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
