Not for families. Pizza was average comparing to other places in Rome. This is something between the restaurant and the pizza-to-go. Quiet uncomfortable toilets what is important when you are with small kids.

Whatever you do, go to Dar Poeta in Trastevere and eat pizza!! It is supposed to be Rome's best, which it really was!! I think I never have tasted such good pizza ever before. In addition, it was almost only Italians/local going there and it was cheap. One of the cheapest restaurants we ate at during our stay. I had... More

Amazing pizza ! Pizzas are so nice they will make an unforgettable memory for ever . The service is very efficient , fast and welcoming. The price are totally affordable, around 9€ for pizzas . The tiramisu is quite tasty too .

The food at Dar Poeta is incredible. The restaurant is incredibly cramped but the food makes up for the lack of ambiance.

Best pizza in town! This place is very popular among locals. The place itself isn't that nice but the pizza is amazing. There is usually a queue on the front but it doesn't take that long. You can make a table reservation on queue and have a drink or two nearby. Dar poeta opens it's doors somewhere around 6 pm.

Simple restaurant, packed with mainly locals and a few tourists ... with good reason, as you'll find the best pizzas in Rome!

On my most recent visit to Rome I was on the hunt for authentic pizza. Back home I have my favorite spots but I wanted to eat a pie the true Italian way. I stumbled upon Dar Poet. The place had a line so you know it must be worth the wait. As soon as I sat I saw all... More

We ordered 2 pizzas in early 2017. Pizzas were fresh and normal prices (5-9 euros per pizza). Staff was normal: not very friendly but also not very bad.

They were super nice, I feel in the real Italy with beautiful flavors, and in that neighborhood Trastevere, amazing experience, but is not possible to book a table, the best ways is around 19:45 and for sure you have a table.

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
