We came across this little Osteria by chance one evening and it was certainly the nicest meal we had durning our stay in Rome. Great food, lovely staff and very reasonable, would definitely recommend it.

The wine list is interestingly different, food nice but service is slow and inefficient and the restaurant is physically too small to for larger groups. Definitely not recommended for children who,in our case, were generally ignored (water and bread had to be chased various times).

Causy and wellrun small trattoria. Food comes from bio produce and selected sources. home made pasta with traditional condiments, meats and cheeses good. Notabl deserts. The owner will always give you an advice to select the proper wine (glass too). Hard to park.

So glad we managed to eat here we hadn't booked, but the ladies did there best and managed to accommodate us. Both the ladies working front of house spoke very good English and explained the meals to us as well as helping us with the wine choice! If your into your wine the wine knowledge is extensive here and interesting,... More

This place was recommended by a man I sat beside the previous night for dinner who was working temporarily in Rome.. I asked where he had his best meal so far, he had been here for 12 months. I was early, 10 minutes before opening, one staff trying to set up tables. Waitress / owner stopped what she was doing... More

We ate here between locals with our two sons and were positively surprised by the ambiance, the friendly help and the outstanding flavours and textures we were served. A Roman delight.

We were recommended here by a local and we were not disappointed. It's a very intimate space, and everyone here was Italian. We had a huge table near us with friends dropping in and out as the night went on, a couple, and a table of friends. The menu is small but a good selection to choose from, and the... More

The ravioli was absolutely fantastic. They also have a dish of the day that is very reasonable and tasty. When my wife was feeling a little ill, they sent the food to the apartment that we rented a few blocks away.

A ricotta mousse, followed by home-made ravioli filled with aubergine, then a dish of the day cordon bleu, and a peach strudel to finish. Not 3 star Michelin stuff, but better than I manage at home (my criterion), at reasonable prices. Service absolutely excellent. The lady boss doubles as a sommelier, advising on the right wines to select with the... More

This gem was near our hotel but on a side street. Like most restaurants it opens at 8 pm for dinner. Small with personal service and excellent food. Pasta clearly home made and fresh with very good sauces. House wine by the glass was more than acceptable. Well worth the effort to find it.

Description
Gourmet cuisine, feminine. In the center of Rome, in a pleasant neighborhood just outside Porta Pia, quiet and hard-working day as teeming with local in the evening, the Osteria dell'Arco stands out with its elegant atmosphere, welcoming and informal, enclosed in two vaults with exposed brick and elegant woodwork full of bottles of wine. Even the sound environment suffused choice contributes to the comfort and identity of our local. In 2008, when we opened the teeming neighborhood of pizzerias and restaurants by "plethoric" menu and the quality is not in line with what was then moving in the City. We were the first in the area to choose a short menu, wine selections cured and not obvious, simple and gourmet cuisine at the same time: we note with great satisfaction that in recent years our area - the neighborhood around Piazza Alessandria - it always is for the most distinguishing offer new quality entry. The protagonists of this small restaurant, are two women (added value and reached laboriously), Nicoletta and Cristina. love cooking than once, the kitchen from long cooking, the simplicity, but that never turns into the obvious, that respect the material they are made. Products to KM 0, very often organic and small-scale producers. The menus follow the seasons and daily proposals are told verbally. The kitchen pays homage to all of Italy with particular attention to Rome, to the south from Naples to Sicily and then fill in the fresh pasta and stuffed pasta, typical of Emilian cuisine - the land of origin of Cristina, the Chef - strictly homemade . And so the bread, cakes, preserves and ice cream. All accompanied by about 150 Italian wine labels, the choice of which never falls on the usual suspects and a small part of foreign wines for 'playing' time with the regulars because with our new guests.
