My husband and I spent a week in Rome. Every meal was wonderful, but we didn't realize that "ordinary" Roman food, while grand, is nothing compared to the meals at this restaurant. I cannot begin to describe the tastes that filled our mouths as we...More

The place came highly recommended to us by a Barman at the Shamrock Irish pub after we asked him where he thought the best place to eat was and it didn’t fail to deliver. We shared the anchovy & burratta bruschetta to start followed by...More

The food was quite good compared to most other tourist area restaurants. It was pretty busy in here so you might need to book. Good for a flying visit, but for better prices and food I would recommend a visit to the Trastevere district.

Stumbled upon this place on the only evening we didn't have a reservation somewhere and SO happy we did. Turned out to be our favourite meal from our weekend in Rome despite other meals in highly reviewed restaurants. We were very lucky to get a...More

We had a very nice dinner on the terrace of the Taverna a couple of nights ago. The food was traditional and very tasty and the service was good. Be sure to book in advance though, quite a lot of people came without reservation and...More

Fourth time back and this restaurant always impresses. Owner makes a point to check in and meal is delicious. Pastas always a treat, porchetta a great appetizer. Best to book in advance as small and popular.

We were recommended this restaurant by our air bnb host. We booked the day before and managed to secure their last table outside. As we sat enjoying our dinner we saw approximately 20 groups being turned away so it’s vital to get a reservation. The...More

We called up to book a table, and had to wait three days for the next available one - but it was worth the wait! We got a table for our last night in Rome, and it was a good way to go out. It...More

Our hotel made us a reservation at La Taverna dei Fori Imperiali for the Friday night we were in Rome, and it is a good thing we had one. We got to the restaurant right at opening and there was already a group of people...More

Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighbourhood just
west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as
it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet
for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season,
quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its
cobblestone streets. The neighbourhood supports unique
and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime
residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at

Sorry for the delay in responding. I have only just seen your question. This restaurant is close to the colosseum. I would say from the Trevi fountain it would be a twenty minute walk.

Honestly I don't know. They are very family oriented, so maybe not open on Christmas...I would call them.
