A friend recommended the place, and as I was walking in the area near dinner time I decided to stop here and try it out. The food was great, I decided to try the Saltimbocca alla Romana. I also had a Panna cotta as desert and it was very good. The service was good and the atmosphere was excellent. The... More

This is a family favourite. We come here every time we're in Rome and it never disappoints. Doesn't seem to be many tourists in there despite it being so close to the Spanish Steps. We frequently are the only non-Italians there, but they're always welcoming and accommodating. Authentic Italian food, and the portions are huge (maybe too big!) Would recommend... More

We had delicious pasta with mushrooms, amazing veal with ham, and wonderful monkfish. The waiter was pleasant, attentive, and interested in helping us navigate the menu. You cannot beat the food for the price. Wonderful meal.

More

We came here twice. Both times at noon for lunch. It is true that at this area you cannot find good restaurants. They are very touristic. But Edy is an exception. So the first day we chose the gratin radicchio and both of us spaghetti al vongoles. The two choices were perfect. The spaghetti was so tasteful with real olive oil garlic and very fresh vongoles... Edy is just off Via Margutta, one of the prettiest streets in Rome. We ate here one cool evening and the restaurant was cosy and lovely. We had Calamari, Lasagna and a Carbonara and they were all excellent. 4 dishes and only 76 euro so reasonable inexpensive. We ate early- as soon as they opened due to our kids, but... More

After reading the reviews, we were looking forward to a great meal just one block from our hotel. It was okay but not as good as our expectation. The tables were very close together and we felt rushed. Food was good but not great. Service was slow and they seem to be short on waiters. We got the feeling that... More

We visit Edy on a Monday night. We were greeted warmly by our server Paolo and were brought both wine and dinner menus. We were able to sit outside and the place was busy to start, escalating to quite busy by the time we left. It is clear they have quite a following. I had the radicchio gratin which was... More

My partner and I chanced upon this place when we went looking for a restaurant near the All Saints Church. It was 19:15 and it was almost empty. Within 30 mins it was pretty much full. The clientele were mainly tourists as you would expect in this part of town and it appeared that the waiter was vetting the customers... More

This restaurant seems to have polarised reviewers more than almost any other restaurant I have seen reviewed on TA. We walked in here around 9 one evening and the place was packed. We waited patiently (well we are on holidays, why stress yourself?) a few minutes and a waiter (one of only two from what we could see) sent us... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighbourhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (21:00), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
