A really lovely traditional restaurant with uniformed waiters who just can't do enough for you. From the warm welcome to the great service at the table to the end of meal liquer (on the house) everything just works. Superb food, a great menu and a large wine list...whats not to love about this place. Great steaks.

We arrived at 18:55 - they told us to wait outside. Far - more: after having T-bone steak, grilled vegetables and mixed green salad I've got food poisoning! Be careful!

This local restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel, and the food did not disappoint. Beautiful fresh Italian cuisine. The steak with truffle sauce was amazing.

Truffle sauce was particularly good. I had been told the steak is among the best in Rome and it was pretty good. The setting isn't particularly fancy but the place seemed to be full of Romans.

A very busy restaurant on Saturday night (as every good restaurant should be) with good atmosphere and 'buzz'. Traditional style decor - well lit - more for groups than a quiet-place-for two. Lots of staff - who appeared to get in each other's way at times but didn't detract from our enjoyment. We were six male family/friends out for some... More

This was the highlight of my food experience so far in Rome. We were pretty much the only English speakers in the restaurant, most of the others seemed like Italian locals - always a good sign in a restaurant I think. Not at all touristy (unlike much of the local competition). The waiters were all older gentlemen, very warm and... More

Wonderful old-school ‘friendly formal’ atmosphere, our favorite restaurant in Rome (we have eaten here during each of 4 trips since 2007, and each time were greeted by the same wonderful maitre d’…if he didn’t actually recognize us after our first visit, he sure acted like he did!). Don't miss this place.

The meal started off not the greatest when they sat me in the table nearest the kitchen despite a nearly-empty restaurant. I do think this restaurant is NOT a tourist trap but the meal was uneven. I loved their ravioli house specialty which I ate as an appetizer. The steak I received had excellent flavor but was quite tough. I... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
