The food was really rather mixed in terms of quality. We had four dishes...the pizza and lasagna were subpar while the tortellini in cream sauce and the pesto pasta were both average. The price was reasonable but I'd prefer to pay more for better food and ambiance.

Loation is good but the interior is rather average. Tables very close together and little in the way of atmosphere. Menu included tourist set courses at a reasonable price.

We ate here three times, once in the dinning room and twice pizza to go. Pizza ok for Rome. The tourist menu was better than expected (after reading other rewiews).

My husband and I stopped in here when we happened upon it after a long day sightseeing. We had a wonderful bottle of Barolo and ordered various side dishes to share. It was wonderful--especially the artichokes. I had torta Della Nonna (grandmother's cake) which was to die for. Not pretentious but really friendly service and excellent food!

No one really liked anything we had. Risotto was bland. Lamb was not a chop and eh. Spaghetti Carbanara was dry. The lasagna was the best thing we had. And the prosciutto. If I had to do it all over again, I would pass this one by...

There were 3 of us for dinner. My husband had the gnocchi which he said was good. My friend and I tried the tourist menu. She had the chicken which tasted like it had been cooked the day before. It was dry and bony. I had the fish which was only slightly better. For dessert I had the Creme caramel... More

Very average restaurant. The chicken was dry and tasted like it was cooked the day before. The fish was just passable. I had a Creme Caramel for dessert but the caramel tasted burnt. Not very happy with the meals

The restaurant is located close behind the Central Stations. The menu offers a good selection of italian cuisine. We ordered as a starter penne arrabbiata - a dream, the best we had so far. As main we had, ossambucco and saltimbocca - both where just perfectly cooked and the taste was unbelievably good - it was just a wonderful dinner... More

Fabulous Salata Capers and Risotto / Ravioli. 10/10. Servizio is exceptional without reproach. Heartily recommended. Located next block from Hotel Contilia.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
