It's not the easiest to find as it is located in a dead-end alley way in the jewish ghetto but that adds to the experience (esp for us since it was about 9:45pm when we went out searching for it!) It's an old-school place and...More

Loved our experience here. Dining in a restaurant isn't just about food although the food here was very fresh and well prepared. The best carciofi Judai of the trip but in general, the food quality in Rome is high for excellent fresh and simple preparation...More

An appalling waste of time, money and a precious dinner “slot”. Service was efficient, but the food! The veal was embalmed in a thick, gummy breadcrumb paste -- wet and soggy in the center, and burned black at the edges. None of our other dishes...More

I was in Rome with my sister and my mother and a person who we thought we could trust (young and cool) recommended that we go to Piperno. We went and immediately thought that we were in the wrong restaurant. The question of "Is this...More

Piperno seems to have a reputation of quality, and a few friends recommended it, so we disregarded AppleMaps incorrect directions and managed to find the byzantine alleyway where it's located. The place is old school, like an Bronx-ish Arthur Ave. restaurant from the 1970s. The...More

This lovely restaurant lays In the heart of old jewish getto and is just a short walk away from Campo de Fiori or Sinagogue. It is a family run restaurant where you are greeted by the family grandmother who takes your coats and lets you...More

I wanted to love this restaurant, but it was so dated and dusty, and the food kind of tasted that way too. The artichokes were great, but the fried zucchini flowers were so-so. The service was fine -- a little aloof and snooty. Overall, this...More

With three of Rome’s most beloved piazzas within a
five-minute walk of each other, the
Navona/Pantheon/Campo area may be the prettiest and
most picturesque area of the city. Join the beautiful
throngs hanging out in cafes, boutiques, art
galleries, and wine bars, or peek at a neighbourhood
museum or monument. If you want nonstop movida, the
streets here are busy with chic bicyclists and Vespa

Hi Barb S. As other Trip Advisors have suggested, its a fair distance/walk from St. Peters and i would personally take a taxi. Re the language...we had absolutely no trouble in conversing with our waiter.
