What a lovely experience! In a city that can be overwhelming in many ways, especially in finding a place to eat amongst the many, this is truly a treasure. You feel as though you are having a family meal in someone's kitchen. The menu is innovative/adventurous, the staff is personable and immediately available. They care about your experience and treat... More

We enjoyed our dinner for two at this small seafood restaurant. Our Antipasti included a very tasty Carpaccio di Ricciola, and a very large portion of Foie Gras in a Barolo sauce (the morsels, translated in the English menu as "Scallops" had led us to expect a different dish). For our main dishes, I had the decadent Anguilla alla Brace,... More

After a few days of having mostly antipasti, pizza and pasta...we wanted to try something a little different...! Osteria 140 was close to our hotel at Campo di Fiori and the first impression was positive, with a clean and modern interior. I was planning on having the tasting menu, but since it was a minimum order of two and one... More

We spent nine days and nights in Rome for our 20th anniversary. Loved it! (Except could have done without the earthquake.) Our new favorite ristorante in Roma is Osteria 140. From the front, it looks like a tiny "local" restaurant but when we went in with the plan to get beer and oysters, everything changed. It's a long way from... More

We enjoyed a very nice lunch with the family a few feet away from the Farnese piazza. This place is well known for oysters - which we did not try. Instead we started with a Fabulous Tuna tartare prepared with Straciatella. Fine fish carpaccio followed by delicate pasta and nice service offering local wine by the glass.

It is a really strange place and I am sure that a lot of people will like it, but is a much more unusual for me. The food was also not typical Italian, something that I am not able to explain. The service is perfect but slow.

Everything we got was delicious and the menu had some creative items on it. Especially enjoyed the veal!

I just don't understand some of the negative reviews on here, as this was one of the best restaurants we've ever been to, and we've eaten all over the world in some very special places. One of the highlights was the owner who was so helpful in describing each dish and all the little details, even though it was a... More
