Stopped by on two separate occasions. Bar welcoming and friendly with a wide range of nationalities visiting. Different activities occurring every evening. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Price was similar to what I would expect to pay in the UK. Variety of music played and overall a lively area to stop and grab a quick drink. Does get very... More

We all loved the food here! Their seafood Risotto is a must-try!!! There's also a window where you can see the chefs make the pasta while waiting for your food to come :)

LOCATION Very close to the Termini, amongst other 'Yellow' buildings (such as the student hostel). STAFF Very friendly, and service was quick (obviously, they are used to serving students and non-Italian clientele). FOOD HUGE portions. Having dined earlier but fancying something to nibble on, we ordered some fries and onion rings, €8 for a large portion of each - more... More

I've been traveling the world and I've learned it's nice to get friendly greetings. My room wasn't ready so I came across the street and Monica was so awesome and made me feel at home

My friend and I stayed at the Yellow Hostel for three nights in November this year, so naturally we spent a lot of time at the Yellow bar, which is open 24/7 and serves breakfast and lunch before turning into a very busy bar later at night! We absolutely loved the bar, the service was brilliant and the bartenders were... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
