The food was amazing and authentic. The staff were friendly yet made a point of trying to help ya say things in Italian. The atmosphere was great. This restaurant is well worth the walk over the river. The area itself is a lovely water of cobbled streets and piazzas. Z

The ambiance is very authentic Trasteverino, food the best, consistent and at a good price. It has been my first stop when I visited Rome over the last 50 years. i ate there weekly when I was a resident of Rome over a 7 year period The carbonara and bucatini alla matriciana are my favorites dishes. Buon appetito, Tommaso Gambino

So that's a dangerous oversell and am definitely setting expectations high...but I have lived in Italy for 18 years and the Fettucine (don't remember the name but they had onions, pancetta, pecorino and red pepper) that I had here were seriously the best I can remember eating. Also, hands down the best tiramisù I've ever eaten in my life. It's... More

Very friendly, approachable staff. Food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Buzzy ambiance and in a good area with lots of other local bars to have drinks.

This is a super charming small restaurant located in a little square in Trastevere. Felt very local, very authentic. The spaghetti carbonara was to die for - so good! Very typical Roman menu. Go and eat like a local!

Very good food and fun atmosphere. Just thought they coulda did something for the birthday celebration we we were there for since they knew about it. Lively and good food. Packed inside and out. Only other point was I had the fried zucchini flower but it did not say anchovy in it which I don't like. Was recommended by our... More

Wonderful atmosphere - great location, with cozy outdoor seating in a lovely area in Trastavere. We had the Amatriciana and the Carbonara - both were perfectly delicious. Highly reccommend, the food was so good we tried coming back the next night but they were booked solid. Get a reservation on the weekend!

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
