This restaurant came as a recommendation to us by our hotell, Albergo del Senato. I can´t say enough about this place. From the moment you walk in, it has a nice, homey, cozy feel, which is hard to find. There is a great ambiance here, set to start with candles and books. Our meal started with water and complimentary champagne,... More

LOVED this resturant. First time in Rome so we really had no idea where to go for dinner for the couple nights we were there. We stayed near the Pantheon, so asked for recommendations and this was one of them. To start, we had a candlelit table with champage, homemade bread, sun dried tomatoes and basil. The ravioli here is... More

Really delicious food served in this beautiful little restaurant, a must if hungry and near the Pantheon. Tiramisu was mouth watering.

We stopped off here with no recommendation but it was a fantastic meal!! Both our pasta dishes were delicious and the flavour was amazing. Very nice small interior inside and very reasonable meal. Half a litre of wine, starter, bread, water and dish each was €40! Thanks very much.

We've spent a nice evening here, enjoying the delicious food in a romantic, typically italian ambiance, in a place with a long tradition, with nice people paying a lot of attention during the service, especially Lidia, who was really charming.

We decided to visit this place as we were visiting the Pantheon, and it had a positive reviews. The food and service were terrible, the worst we had in our two weeks in Italy. I write this to warn any other diners considering this place. The carbonara and spaghetti with bacon were identical with minuscule amounts of ingredients in a... More

We spent six nights in Rome in late August 2016 and we enjoyed the food, the decor, the atmosphere and the customer service, in particular by the lovely Lidia. In fact, we enjoyed the total 'package' so much that we had dinner there on three of the six nights.

If you are looking for a restaurant that doesn't care about customer service this is the place for you. The prices were not bad but that makes sense when the food is that dismal. We all ordered different dishes and not one of them was worth the effort of chewing. The oxtail meat pasta... maybe oxtail bone and par boiled... More

This small, cramped, chaotic trattoria has bags of character. The decor is an eclectic mix of all kinds of stuff from small boats to wall clocks, the staff are a similar mix. but there's nothing random about the food, which is consistently good. The steaks are good and well cooked, the salads are excellent, and the boss delights in showing... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
