We went here twice in our week-long visit to Rome. They serve the best Wurstel Pizza I've ever had and would recommend the service and the prices to anyone.

We stumbled across Galilei unexecptedly as It was around the corner from our AirBnB. It was late and no other restaurants were opened nearby. My husband and I had low expectations. It is an older restaurant adorned in vintage decor; kind of reminded my of my grandmas house. Also, it's cash only---so keep that in mind. He ordered the Margherita... More

Our family of four happened upon this place wandering around near Trevi. The pizza counter drew us in and we're very happy to report it tastes as good as it looks! The beer was a nice accompaniment.

This place was recommended by a local- great margheritta with basil and parmezan pizza: thin curst, amazingly flavoured- the best I've ever had!!!!

Place was recommended by our host in Italy, came for dinner just as they opened. It was a good meal where we all got pizza. Thin crust and extremely generous with the filling. The recommended white wine was good too.

We dined here with another couple and were the first to arrive in the evening. We were made to feel welcome, and we sat outside to enjoy the evening along a narrow street that has less traffic noise than restaurants located just around the corner. One of the people in our party ordered the special for the evening and was... More

I wanted to definitely have a pizza whilst we were in Rome so we visited this place. We sat outside as it was a warm evening. We had meat, bread and cheese starter to share, which I thought was delicious. Very fresh and some really tasty cheeses. The pizzas we had for our main course were really delicious and well... More

Great local restaurant near where we were staying. Opened at 7PM and we were the first ones in. Good food all homemade, great pricing and ambiance. The place filled up by 8PM when we left. Would go back again and try other items on the menu.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
