Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Not impressed with this restaurant. Unfriendly welcome from the manager who treats his staff very disrespectful. Had to wait to order because only the manager takes the orders. The food was nothing special. Our server was friendly regardless of his frustration. Kredit cards were not...accepted. Would not recommend eating here.More

I have never walked out of a restaurant in disgust after seeing the head waiter prepare a mozzarella salad using his bare hands ! No tongs or gloves used and when I brought this to his attention he was very rude and swore expletives! This...was one of several red flags while waiting to be served. Imagine what happens in the kitchen! . A very unfortunate situation. I walked out without ordering . So give this trattoria a big miss and find another place that is hygienic and welcoming where the head waiter treats their staff and customers in a respectful manner.More

INCREDIBLE authentic & very affordable Italian food in a classic established restaurant. The owner/front of house was a total pro - knew exactly what was happening on every table and never forgot about anyone or anything! He was extremely generous with bonus dishes, including the...delicious tiramisu which is one of the best I've ever had. Would recommend to anyone on a visit to Rome.More

Great little spot. We heard about this place by word of mouth and it turned out to be a nice little gem. Delicious food, good service and great prices. During our meal the server dropped off some bruschetta on the house and a free tiramisu...at the end of the meal, I was expecting an extra on the bill but there wasn't any extra surprise. The Tiramisu was simply delicious! The restaurant was busy and seemed popular. I would return here on future tripsMore

Loved our experience at this restaurant. It was quaint and gave us an authentic Italian feel. The staff was very friendly (really didn't want us to leave without dessert) and the food was spectacular. It was close to our apartment that we rented and we...wished that we had visited sooner. We would have eaten there every night. Highly recommend!!!!More

The restaurant was the best value we had in Rome: it's simple and the seafood pasta is really good. But what called our attention was how the owner took care of us: we got bread, arancini and tiramisu for free and loved the cozy local...atmosphere. Please do not order the house wine.More

Wow what a find for fantastic food, off the beaten track, fell on it by accident, only small say 8 tables but no complaints about the food all seemed home cooked, seems the owner is in charge of everything a bit bossy with staff, but...it works. My Lasagna is the best I have ever had, the wife loved her pizza and young un loved her beef. Too full for desert as big portions but owner gave us a plate of small deserts and a bottle of Lemon cello left on table. Meal and drinks 53 euro.More

Excellent food and service! All of our dishes were delicious, we ordered eggplant antipasti, Carbonara and allmatriciana. The restaurant offers local Roman food, in a cozy neighborhood. We will come back again!

Just awful experience. We are aware that in Italy servers are not as attentive and you need to call them if you need anything but this was something else. Extremely rude attitude by the server since we arrived, we ordered water and asked for a...few minutes to look at the menu. 15 minutes passed by in which we called his attention about 3 times but he kept doing other things (the restaurant was not busy at this point). He finally came with a very bad attitude, at this point we told him we would just pay for the water and did not wish to order anything else. He got mad, started saying rude things in Italian (I understand Italian), including to go f— ourselves (in his words ‘vaffanculo’). He kept yelling and repeating that as we left.More

I am from an Italian Family from Italy and learned this from my first visit to Rome. Do not eat where the tourist eat for a reason. So at this my son ordered Pasta Carbonara, the pancetta or Guancialla used was very sparse, it tasted...more of an egg creme than the Pancetta. The wife and I ordered pasta with Porcini, that is what it said in the menu…. Instead we got pasta with regular button mushrooms. We immediately new the difference. If we are paying for excellent mushrooms we should get them. The service was good and the people were nice, the atmosphere was ok, but will not eat there again.More

Food was okay. Wasn’t until after they gave us the bill that they told us they only take cash… my husband had to walk to an ATM which was not close to take out cash and pay ATM fees since this was our last night...in Europe and had spent the last of our euros. Definitely would not have eaten here if I had read the other reviews. Owner was rude. DO NOT RECOMMEND!More

We found this place by chance when we had a panini for lunch, on the opposite side of the road. We decided to give it a shot having dinner there later that night. We were not disapointed. We got there around 7 pm and soon...thereafter the place was full. We had pasta stozzapreti with shrimp and mushrooms for main course. The pasta was done by the book, as far as I can tell and was very good. Service was quick and as soon as the majority of the guests had done their orders and the food was coming out it seemed like the owner could concentrate on making us guests as comfortable as possible. After a complimentary limoncello a violin player entered, and that was the time for us to leave.More

This is our favourite restaurant in Rome and we love everything about this place. The food is amazing and by far the best pasta I’ve ever tasted. The atmosphere is great and Omar is a fantastic host and goes out of his way to welcome...you. We arrived later one night and the restaurant was full but he soon accommodated us. He provides additional courses and leaves a bottle of lemon cello on the table all complimentary. If you look carefully we have written our appreciation on the walls. Best food in Rome.More
