When you are looking for lovely authentic Italian place to go for lunch or dinner, then this is a great restaurant to visit! Their pizza's are delicious with great thin base, the salad was fresh and simple and the service was excellent - despite being very busy.

My boyfriend and I came here for a leisurely lunch on our last day in Rome. Couldn't have been better! Try and get a table outside (they have heaters if it gets chilly) food was one of the best we've had in Rome. If we were staying longer, we would have gone back! We got two starters, two pastas, a... Simply put, it is one of my favorite restaurants in Europe. Consistent quality and service at reasonable prices (for Rome). Whenever I am in Italy on business I try to end the trip with a visit to this restaurant and I try to send others to this restaurant. In addition to the normal Roman restaurant fare, this restaurant also has... More

A good place for lunch, frequented by locals who know where good food is to be found. The menu is quite typical for Rome and there are daily specials which we enjoyed very much. Good attentive service, and good value for money. We would recommend this Hostaria.

Arancio d'Oro shared the alley with our hotel. Prefect place to unwind after traveling to Rome. Quaint and off the tourist path. Patrons were mostly locals. Staff was extremely warm and attentive. Did meet two other American young ladies. They had been referred by an intern from Rome.

Even though we arrived with a group of 13 persons, instead of the 7 we reserved for, after a wait of appr. 10 minutes we were seated in the restaurant and being served an excellent meal, accompanied by great wine, the service was fantastic, friendly and definitely used to large, loud groups...

I really enjoy our lunch in this restaurant. the waiter welcomed us with a big smile (not the everywhere in Rome) and produced the menus. We chose to eat the mushroom and truffles (it is the season). What a treat. I ordered a half bottle of Gaja winery produced wine. I shall go back.

We enjoyed a wonderful lunch on a cold and rainy day in Rome. Arancio d'Oro was a welcome respite from trudging in the slush, having walked a considerable distance from the Spanish Steps. It is a destination restaurant and a little off the main tourist route, and had been highly recommended. We were not disappointed. The food and the service... More

We found this place by chance and were really happy we did! Amazing outside seating in a pleasant alley, very reasonable prices and great Italian food. The desserts (tiramisu and panacotta) were simply delicious and the penne carbonara as well as the margherita pizza were superb. It would have been 5* had it not been for the average fried stuffed... Had a coffee in the morning. We got a good impression and decided to return for lunch. Nice food, good service. We sat outside, but inside looks very good, clean and well kept. Worthwhile for a next visit.

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighbourhood Profile
Campo Marzio

By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina.
