Rcommend Polpetti to start the meal! Good situation close to Piazza Navona. We really enjoyed eating in this little but good athmospheric restaurant. We had to wait 20 minuts out the door taking some beer. This means it's a solicited place!!

We read about the place in our Tour Book of Rome and decided to try it out. The place is located near Piazza Navona and is very cosy decorated, almost like a old family tavern. Unfortunately the food we got served had nothing to do with a old italian family tavern. The pasta was not even cooked, the bread was... More

Recommended by a local offering typical roman food we thought it offered excellent value for money. It was busy but we were welcomed with a smile. We shared a pasta dish and chose the veal - one dish a stew the other a roast. Large portions served hot and great tasting. After we shared the cherry ricotta tart. With the... More

When you consider the price to quality/taste ratio at this place, it should already be more popular than it is. When you add to that the fact that it is close to Piazza Navona and, thus, buried on a street with so many terrible tourist traps nearby, well, its a small miracle. If you are looking for something near Piazza... More

I love the feel of this little mom-and-pop neighborhood restaurant, but it was overall a big disappointment. The atmosphere is cozy and old school Italian, and the menu seems to be reasonably priced -- until you are actually served your food and you see what's given to you. First off, the pasta here is NOT fresh. It's not even freshly... More

This family restaurant is small and simple but the food and all its ingredients are awesome! The prices are really good (starter, main course, dessert and two bottles of wine for two persons was under 40 eur)! It is a popular place and they take no reservations

The restaurant is small and rather simple but the food and all its ingredients are great! The oxtail (see picture) is very recommendable!

After the wait in line to get into it, we finally got in and tasted the best food possible! I had Tonarelli caco pepe! That was made in the most delicious way possible! Great chef! Will go there again, definitely!

The restaurant seems very popular, perhaps we just had blah things from the menu. The bread was very hard. I had the rigatoni with beef sauce which was ok but very oily. Red house wine was so so. Judging from the amount of Italians waiting outside perhaps we were just unlucky in our menu choices. If you do do I'd... More

There are a number of posts (in the forum or review of location) that mention this trattoria in Rome, but no actual review of it or a listing of it under restaurants in Rome. We just ate there and thought it was fabulous. We would like an opportunity to review it on TA.
