This pizzeria was a place we stumbled upon on our way back from the Porta Portesse flea market. It is a very casual place which sells all pizza by weight. The variety is fantastic. I did not expect much, but one bite and I was in heaven!! Worth a stop if in the neighborhood.

The food there was super good. It is not a big restaurant, there is no table for you to sit. But the pizza is good. And you can actually sit on the stairs, enjoy the pizza and enjoy all the travelers walking around. But I don't think it open till very late. The first time I went there is around... More

We were at the Internazionali tennis tournament and we had a huge variety of sliced pizza to choose from. It was the best pizza we had during our stay: juicy, delicious tomatoe, plenty of toppings, and the right size base. The only down side the drinks price. I wish we had this delicious pizza one more time.

Just came across this joint as walking away from the Vatican and we were very hungry! It was fun to choose slices by weight and to eat sitting outside on the step, like everyone else!

My wife and I tried to eat lunch here and we're completely ignored and passed over for 5 minutes. The workers made eye contact with us several times but kept helping other Italian customers first. When someone finally acknowledged us, we asked for a few slices of pizza that were out and were told we couldn't have those and were... More

They are so busy making this tasty pizza of varied flavours as it has such a great reputation and following by both tourists and locals who call in for some fresh, hot pizza by the slice which is paid for by weight. Only the freshest ingredients used and base is baked to perfection! We sought this place out after having... More

I don't think ANY pizza could be considered as a "best meal ever", but this could possibly be the best pizza I've ever had. Our tour driver took us here for a "fast" meal. Seating is very limited (about a dozen seats), because most people take the pizza "to go". You take a number and when your number is called,... More

They have a large pizza selection with amazing prices! Good enough and cheap enough to go back for seconds.

I've been to Italy a few times now and travelled around a lot. This has to be the best slice I've tasted with a nice variety of pizzas and other things. If you're in the neighbourhood it's definitely worth a visit.

The best pizza I have ever eaten. Lots of tastes to choose from, good price and great taste! You need to visit this "network" of pizzerias. During my stay I tried several other places with this type of snack and none of them matched Alice!

Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighbourhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighbourhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighbourhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
