We ordered appetizers, which were excellent. We got a little taste, on the house, from other dish. Main dishes - we got two good pasta dishes. In addition, each got a taste of the second tranche, a separate plate. It was so wonderful, so we ordered another main course - fillet steak, which was just superb. The desserts ware also... More

We were 5 adults visiting Rome for a rugby weekend. We booked ahead as advised & were very glad we did as the restaurant was full - mainly Italian diners. We couldn't fault any aspect of this charming restaurant. We took the advice of the waitress & ordered mixed starters. So glad we did as plate after plate of delicious... More

Osteria del Sostegno is a typical italian restaurant-osteria, hidden in a very small alley very close to Pantheon, but vey difficult to find if you don't know it. We went there after a recommendation that it serves one of the best carbonara dishes in Rome and we realised it was true! This is place is always full, so try to... More

After a week in Rome this is the perfect charming restaurant. Hidden on a little side street steps away from the Patheon, the food was perfect. The portions just right, valuing quality over quantity. The focaccia with olive paste antipasti is light as air. The spaghetti carbonara was the best I've had, and even the pistachio ice cream and limoncello... More

We had been recommended this restaurant by a friend and we are so grateful to them for doing so! Me and my boyfriend are big foodies and this was the best place we ate the entire trip. The restaurant is wry small and the inside doesn't look like much but believe me the food is so worth it. We asked... More

Osteria del Sostegno is a small restaurant hidden away in a side street not far from the Pantheon - less than 5 minutes walk. We enjoyed the food so much we came back for two other dinners. Very personal service with a great menu and wines. Make sure you try the roman artichokes and the black truffle spaghetti. They are... More

I'm sad my Italian is limited to only "molto bene!" because this place deserves all the praise it can get. Hidden in a little alley close to the Pantheon, we were recommended to visit this restaurant by a Italian friend of mine. Even with a reservation we had to wait a bit for our table (it's ok, after all this... More

Had a lovely meal on our last night in Rome. Went full steam with three courses. The Roman style artichoke was melt in the mouth. Thank you will return in May

Great location near Pantheon, outdoor area perfect for warmer months. Indoor dining space is more cramped, less charming. Classic menu, Food is good not great. If you are lucky enough to sit outside, balance is right. Inside, just ok space with just good enough food makes for a less special evening.

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
