I reviewed this restaurant last March and gave it a great recommendation. On our most recent trip to Rome this month, we were anxious to revisit a place we enjoyed so much. What a disappointment that was. Everything we liked about the restaurant has changed for the worst. Our server was uninterested and unknowledgable about anything on the menu. We... More

I have just come back from a 4day holiday and while on the trip we visited this restaurant and thought it looked nice but were met with some very rude people who constantly stared at us and seemed to be talking about us as they looked over and whispered from afar which make us feel uncomfortable not to mention the... Tried beef lasagne and cheese bruschetta. Very good prices compared to other restaurants in the same area.

Well Rome is great. The restaurants are great but this place is just awful. Service was appalling. We got there ate 7.30. And sorry no Fries we are sold out, sorry no canneloni carne but you can have Lasagne ' its the same'. My daughter order chicken the waitress through it on the table turning her back on us before... Had meal here as it was nearly next door to our hotel San Remo. Went for fixed price menu and it was adapted to meet two fussy vegetarians 😊 would recommend this restaurant for a friendly and tasty meal that does not break the bank ☺️

It seemed popular and busy but was really quite disappointing. Pasta was plain enough and compared to some Other meals we had on our holiday. I'd recommend avoid.

Our hotel ( San Remo ) is a stone’s throw from this lovely little restaurant which seems in a very peaceful location given it’s proximity to Termini. It has a number of outside tables one of which we occupied. The menu is quite extensive with most pasta dishes on the a la carte being in the €8 – €12 bracket... More

This was the first place we ate at when arriving in Rome. We stumbled upon it while looking for a different restaurant. So we had zero expectations. Our waiter was very friendly although we had to wait a very long time before getting our bill. I had the traditional calzone and it was good. Im not a foodie so I... More

Staff appeared to speak no English and when we walked in, a guy was wandering round on his mobile and just waved us to a table. Once the food arrived it was delicious. However when we asked for the bill, the waiter just said '€50' and we had no way to check if this was right due to them 'not... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
