Absolutely delicious and entertaining meal. This was our 1st dinner in our Taste of Europe trip that starts in Rome. Ristorante Mino served a 5 course meal with house white or red wine. The bruschetta and orosciutto with melon was so good as well as the pasta and meat dish that followed. The gelato with fresh fruits washed all the... More

We experienced a wonderful group dinner with an attentive and friendly staff at Mino Ristorante in Rome . A must have is the mushroom pasta appetizer, which had a rich sour cream broth and well prepared mushrooms. We also thought the bruchetta was outstanding and we enjoyed their roasted pork entrée. The lasagna was good, if not remarkable. For dessert,... More

We had a great night when a group of us went to RistoranteMino for dinner. The staff really looked after us and we had a fantastic meal. Because there were about 20 of us in the group we were treated to some live music by a duo (Piano Accordian, flute and vocals) and some tomfoolery by one of the waiters... More

We found this restaurant as we were staying near to the Termini and thought that it looked interesting with indoor and outside seating. The staff were excellent and very friendly and helpful with good English and all with a great sense of humour. The menu was extensive and consisted of a wide range of traditional Italian dishes. We found the... More

The tourist menu at the end of the catalogue is great value for money. With 15 euros you take one starter, one main couse, second place, side order and a dessert. Our waiter did his best. However the side dish never came. The first plate usually pasta sas perfect. The second was good.

We had the risotto with seafood and ravioli with cheese and spinach but this is made double instead of the usual square. The red wine and beer were good. We visited this restaurant twice cuz Daniel service was good and pleasing and he speak English. He even specially gave all varieties of chilli if he knows you like your food... More

Wow! I usually avoid the tourist traps close to the train stations but this restaurant is a grand exception! Don't bother with a la Carte...flip right to the back and get the 'tourist' menu. For 15€, starter, main, drink, dessert...and full portions! I ordered the Sistina menu, spaghetti carbonara , veal Marsalla , gelato and a bottle of the house... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
