We found this place while looking for a nearby restaurant which seems to have changed its name. Excellent menu of freshly prepared food. It’s worth translating the specials written on the board outside - this included pluma, a grilled cut of pork, which a lot...More

Excellent service, we arrived for a early lunch and the staff were sat eating their own lunch, but still invited us in and make us feel welcome in the tranquil settings. The pork tenderloin and lamb cutlets we ordered were delicious. Nice quiet back street...More

Love, love, love this place. Sitting down at a table with a red/whith table cloth. Right by the (not too busy) street. In the Roman "big a pizza pie" night. Eating italian dishes of high quality. Lovely service, ok prices ... prosecco, limoncello and tiramisu...More

This was close by our hotel which was convenient for us. The welcome was warm and the service friendly. Food was nice but a little expensive. Mains of lamb and salmon were €17.00 each which didn't include vegetables.

Last night in Rome, and some friends and I were told by my concierge to try this place, near our hotel. I had been eating "authentic" Italian for 13 days in a row so expected the same stuff. I was blown away. My friend ordered...More

Jet lagged and this was next to the hotel. Ordered a very pleasant Chianti for €18. The bruschetta was excellent for the price. The olive tapenade stood out. Pasta was above average.

We ate here as it was close to where we were staying and the reviews looked OK. The ambience of the restaurant inside wasn't right - lighting too bright and the furniture was uncomfortable. There were a couple of Italian families seated next to us...More

Off the beaten path with good portions of reasonably priced pasta and salad, nice wine list, steady stream of local and tourist patrons. Friendly service, English spoken.

Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only
way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The
Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas
in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s
famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to
its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub,
Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot
