Stopped here for a drink on the way back to hotel. We asked for wine and a few nibbles. We had a bottle of red wine, 2 glasses of white with some olives, bread and mozzarella balls. The bill came to 87 euros and was not broken down as the nibbles weren't part of their menu. Partly our fault for... More

Cozy location in a small square in front of a magnificent church just few steps from the pantheon. The food is delicious, especially the carciofi alla romana but 6€ each. A coffee 3€ and a bottle of low quality wine 20€ is too much. The overall cost was more than we'd estimated. Staff members kind. Thanks.

My friend and I happened upon it one evening sometime after 9:00pm. There were still a few groups and some couples outside. It was in a fantastic outdoor setting. We were waited on promptly and had excellent service with a smile. I am still going through my notes of our trip in September 2016 so am remembering as much as... More

We arrived about 9 pm, and they welcomed us right in and quickly brought a trio of delicious appetizers, including bruschetta. Our kids ate the 1/4 chicken and potatoes, and my husband and I enjoyed spaghetti. We would order everything again!

My colleague and I have visited this restaurant three times during three work trips to Rome. It has a great location, in the wonderful neighborhood near the Piazza Navonna. The restaurant itself is located on a beautiful, quiet square, which it happily doesn’t share with any other establishment. The antipasti are enjoyable, and we’ve made a whole meal of them.... More

For over 30 years on my many, many trips to Rome, I have passed by this place, located in the Piazza S. Ignazio, probably because I felt it was yet another tourist restaurant in an area thick with such places. But because it was a lonely rainy night in Rome, and because I craved a place that was quiet, I... More

Average food, normally for the restaurant in the market place. Everything was fine till after payment. They actually took our wine/water glasses half emptied from the table saying that they are closed. We can stay but without glasses and anything. Smiling... Without any warning before, regarding any kind of rule or time table... Never in my life I didn't find... More

The service was terrible. We waited forever to be seated and to be served. The waiters were rather impolite. When it comes to food we got bread, just bread and when I asked to get olive oil & balsamico it took ages to get it from another table (i think only 1 bottle of each was available). My friend got... We stumbled upon this restaurant while walking from the Pantheon to the Trevi Fountain and it was a great find. As it was lunchtime on a warm day we were able to eat outside with views of the Piazza and the church and decided that we would mark our first day in Rome by having traditional Italian style pizzas. Service... More

Food was adequate but the service was appalling. The waiter who served us was rude about our food choices to the table next to us (words to the effect of "typical tourists") and assumed we wouldn't understand, well guess what, we did and he earned himself a zero tip. Totally spoilt our last meal in Rome. Still so angry, I'm... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
