Looking at the splendor of the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain, we, frankly accidentally fell into this restaurant-pizzeria. We are not just satisfied, it was a delicious meal. The staff is very cool and friendly. We ate pizza, steak, lamb, drank Chianti, beer, grappa. All delicious. Very homely atmosphere, we had to come back the next day for lunch. It... More

The silky smooth and friendly staff with their ever ready sweet smiles can be a charade.Watch out, behind all that friendliness lies the tourist trap about to sprang. If you are able to hold on to your nerves and order just the basic pasta or soups/salads plus wine, you might get away without blowing away your daily food budget. However, the tricky part is when... The restaurant is spectacular! The ambiance is rustic and the food is great. It is steps away from the Pantheon. I had bruschetta and ravioli for my lunch. The waiter was kind enough to give my husband the recipe for the bruschetta so we can have it again at home.

Don't bother reading through countless TripAdvisor reviews to find a nice place to eat like we did, come here! Fantastic food, best pasta I've had in Rome. Great staff, the best!

We came across this family-run restaurant by accident. It is in a lovely street with many other restaurants, and we faced the usual dilemma of being in an unfamiliar city for a few days and not really knowing where to choose for dinner. The welcome was fantastic, and the food lived up to all our best expectations. We were travelling... More

On a very lively street, full of restaurants, we found a very crowded place called er Faciolaro, with one empty table. It was an excellent choice. The atmosphere was lively. The house wine was good and inexpensive. Before dinner, we got a small complimentary glass of champaign, and afterwards a shot of limoncello. Service was slow, but we thought our... More

After returning a steak which was inedible they still charged 15.00 which was for 2 bites. Stay away from this place. They are thieves.

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
