As you enter, get in line at the cash register to place your order, pay and get tour receipt/ticket. Then muscle your way to the bar to enjoy you cup and even pastry if you ordered it. Great experience.

As daily consumers of espresso in the US, and owners of a super automatic coffee machine, we were looking forward to our return to Italy. We stayed in an Airbnb in view of the Pantheon, and returned to the Tazza d'ora with high expectations.

I would put it close to pre-packaged, though it can be warmed up. Its mainly a cafeteria, which also features ice-creams and some other fancy drinks along with confectioneries. But one should go only for coffee.
