We went there for operative many times and it wasn't bad at all if you consider Roman standards. You pay your drink around 10 euro and eat as much as you like. But today we wanted to try for lunch. The fried squid was very bad, tasted like plastic. The spaghetti con vongole was a bit too oily. The green... More

Accurate and comfortable, easily reachable even with public transports, It offers an interesting variety of menu and wines. Cocktails as well. Important wine cellars on underground floor, great design.

We sampled a three restaurant for the Italian aperitivo (sp?) and I'd put this one at the bottom of the list. That being said, the aesthetic was really nice and the food was good! It was a very popular place for aperitivo, as well!

Good selection for the aperitivo, however all of the food was extremely extremely salty. Cocktails were decent. Man who greeted us at the entrance was extremely rude and dismissive. The price seemed like good value by the sounds of it (10 euros for a drink and buffet) however we barely ate our money's worth of the food due to the... More

Found this restaurant on Google maps and had a lovely meal for 2 for €20!! Buy a drink soft or cocktail for set price of €10 and help yourself to as much or as little food as you like from the bar. Homemade pizzas, pasta, couscous, salad and roasted vegetables and not forgetting all the nice pastries for dessert! Superb... More

We went here because we heard they have a good apperitivo. Well, the apperitivo was okay, actually they did not have many options to choose from, a lot of pizza slices, 2 different kinds of pasta, and some other stuff. Of course, we had a nice apperitivo anyways for 10 euros. The cocktails were pretty strong, but it was okay.

It is one of the best Aperitif in Roma. You have to go there early like 6, 6.30 Otherwise there is always a queue to wait. They offer good salads and pizza which you have no limits to take and pay only your drink which is around 10 euro for the first and less for the second.

We stopped by to have an apero and then something to eat. We chose the salmon and meatballs, both were just great. The foods, atmosphere and staff were very good. Away from the main tourist track so all the better for that. Highly recommended.

Found it very inconveniencing for a number of reasons: we called and couldn't make a reservation. We were asked to come and reserve at the door, which we did. We found a huge crowd waiting outside but considering the nice reviews we decided to hang on even under the cold and drizzle. We got in finally after waiting for 35mins.... More

Staying in Testaccio

Neighbourhood Profile
Put the house music on replay and you have Testaccio, an ancient Roman port and former working class neighbourhood where the bass is set to high almost every night of the week. Its collection of discoteche (nightclubs), street parties, and crowded restaurants give it its well-deserved party reputation. During the daytime, Testaccio is more easy listening than club hit, the area is full of locally owned small businesses and has one of the city's larger produce markets.
