Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

"Elegant trattoria" atmosphere: Beautiful airy rooms, well spaced tables, atmosphere "of the past".
The menu counts traditional dishes and some "must" of the place for years.
We go there often and know almost all the dishes well.
Among the starters:
- Boiled meatballs on a bed of chicory brushed: crispy and dry meatballs, very good
- Flan of artichokes: tasty
- Potato and cod pie: tender and tasty fish
Among the first courses, certainly very good tonnarelli cheese and pepper with artichokes and hand-pulled tagliatelle with white ragu (a good dish, perhaps excessively "greasy").
Among the latter:
- aubergine parmesan: well executed
- Artichoke and anchovy pie: perhaps the least "successful" dish: very greasy and too savory (almost fried artichokes)
Side dishes (broccoli and chicory) good, although very greasy.
Typically the dishes are a bit seasoned and therefore a bit heavy, but all tasty.
Honest prices: appetizers between 9 and 13 euros, first to 14 euros, second to 18/19 euros, side dishes 6 euros.
Service always courteous and attentive.

A familiar and pleasant environment. Well-spaced tables and quiet atmosphere.
We tasted various courses from a menu that immediately made a good impression on us.
The cacio e pepe with crunchy artichokes (brought to the table separated from the already creamed tonnarelli and to be added to your taste) I found it tasty enough to be able to say that an, albeit minimal, revisitation of a great classic of our tradition was attempted while I would dare to do something more, if I may, in the too simple breaded and fried lamb chops: maybe a different plating, a little sauce on the side, instead of the miserable wedge of lemon thrown in there, which you can use at your own discretion (a a bit like the crunchy artichokes above).
The other dishes are good in terms of composition and raw materials. Pleasant desserts to complete a satisfying Sunday lunch.
Attentive but detached service, a little more empathy, without overdoing it, wouldn't go amiss.

We were looking for a restaurant where we could appreciate Roman cuisine and we were pleasantly surprised, both by the quality of the dishes and by the speed, preparation and courtesy of the service. We also liked the environment for its style. It wasn't even necessary to raise the volume of the conversation to be able to talk to each other at the table.

The worst meal in Rome. I went there because of the Gambero Rosso entry. The starter was oversalted and therefore life-threatening for certain customers. The Scottish meat was well cooked but served on a half-cold plate. The service was unfriendly. Avoid at all costs!!!

Excellent food, wine and service. Very friendly atmosphere 😊
The antipasti were absolutely to die for. We went for the bit pricey solution of mixing three different choises on each plate. In other restaurants they allow you to share. However, we enjoyed every single bite.
Mains and desserts were also very nicely done. I had the cacio e pepe - and the homemade pasta was breathtakenly delicious.

I no longer live in Rome but when I return I like to rediscover the places of my heart. Roberto e Loretta is one of those places. I went there with my father and his family when it was managed by Roberto's father, Alfredo and it was in via Gabi, unfortunately I'm talking about the last century.
I found it in Via Saturnia with dishes that are a treat for the palate and the heart. Cuisine that respects the raw material, which does not distort its taste and shape. The wine list is excellent. It is easy to perceive the evolution that the cuisine of this restaurant has been able to give to tasty and delicious dishes, which arrive at the table in a welcoming and correct way, embracing those who wait for them.
Professional, aware, caring staff.
My Friulian guests were delighted.
I wasn't able to say goodbye to Roberto, who was unfortunately absent due to a fall. I left my best wishes for a speedy recovery to Mrs. Loretta.
I hope to be able to return again, in the meantime I sincerely recommend it.

Three consecutive dinners
Excellent presentation of the place.
Good food (both meat and fish)
Wide availability of wines.
Exemplary ability to find solutions to unexpected events (full restaurant but still organized a table)
Nice waiters (at least the three who served me)
The bread served hot is excellent (a plate for the crumbs wouldn't hurt)
Bill in line with food and service.
Inserted in the personal list of restaurants to continue frequenting.

Booked 4 days before Sunday otherwise we would not have found a place because it was always crowded. We always return with great pleasure because the food is good, the service is fast and the place is familiar and welcoming. Prices at the level of all quality restaurants. Parking difficult. I advise.

“I will come, but it must be a serious dinner. I hate people who take meals lightly.” Oscar Wilde. This impeccable restaurant, discovered thanks to friends, is exactly this: respect for food thanks to a “serious” but not too much menu, care and attention of the Staff for the customer, present but never intrusive and a refined decor that makes you forget what is out there (almost a return to the past and good manners). Last but not least, a clientele that reflects the restaurant. To try again. Oh, congratulations.

Although "Roman of Rome", the "fifth quarter" is not a passion of mine. However, finding myself at dinner in a restaurant renowned in the area for traditional Roman dishes, I wanted to try my first queue ("alla vaccinara", naturally). Not bad, in fact: good, if we make an exception for the cartilage which, definitely, isn't to my tastes.
Beyond the typical dish, other dishes are certainly well executed: paccheri with sea bass and taggiasche, sea bream with potatoes and buffalo mozzarella with truffle and anchovies. A half step below. the scottona steak and the boiled meatballs.
Less positive notes, however, for a trifle that is – in my opinion – a bit messy.
Cozy place, although the furnishings could use some more attention.
Slight delays in the timing of the service which, essentially, was correct and courteous.

Always a certainty. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff attentive and efficient. Very good Roman cuisine, notable the tonnarelli cheese and pepper with crispy artichoke petals, meatballs and Roman artichokes. Right value for money.

14 of us ate the most delicious meals here: beautiful pastas, tuna tartare, stuffed zucchini flowers, etc….
Service was excellent, especially considering how many of us there were.
Great value - definitely worth a visit.

Today for lunch we ate, on the right recommendation, at this beautiful restaurant. The staff is attentive and kind and the dishes are very good.
The roasted octopus on a bed of chickpea cream is a delight. The pastas are very good (perhaps the carbonara was too al dente), and the fish is fresh and crunchy.
Advised!!!

Large spaces, many diners but little confusion (particularly nice people).
Just a nice atmosphere but a lot of "substance" in the kitchen.
Our first courses are excellent: fettuccine with white ragù, timbale of Sicilian anelletti and pumpkin tortelloni.
The cod flan is excellent.
The fried artichokes are passable.
Many good desserts: huge Mont Blanc, trifle and delicious donut with cream.
Correct account.
Well done

This is the archetype of the Italian trattoria. A lot of buzz, whole families with children walking through the restaurant, efficient service, affordable winelist and a very classic kitchen. Nothing for hipsters, stupid influencers and gastronomic connoisseurs. Dishes are among the bestsellers of nonna's kitchen. Nice place to stay.
