We were looking for a restaurant for a dinner. We chose this one cause Salvi San Lorenzo was closed in open time. And this restaurant is super! Nice ambience and service. We have got a pizza Prosciutto e formaggi, Bischera, 1l of white wine, 2 coffee and one bottle of sparkling water. And it all costs 25€. The pizzas were... More

Tonight my boyfriend and I had food at this excellent little hidden restaurant. After a daunting walk from the tram to the restaurant we were welcomed into a friendly environment and experienced high quality food at extreme value. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for 'real Italian food' at amazing prices

Off the beaten track but great if you're not staying in the centre. Lively atmosphere and minimal tourists. Excellent choice of food and very reasonably priced. WE booked a table online prior to visit, advisable for a weekend night.

During our stay in San Lorenzo - Rome-, found this one from Tripadvisor. I am glad we did. Good food, good service. Loved the athmosphere. Lots of locals only few tourists. I believe we were the only ones. Decent price. Would go again.

I visit Rome every year and visit La Mucca Bischera every time, I love the food and the place but the service is variable most of the times slow and it seems that despite arriving or ordering before other tables, some have their food a lot faster. When asking for the bill, we had to ask several times before I... More

Fast service, tasty pizza and calzone . Great variety of dishes. Prices are relatively cheap but the quality is good. Very recommended!

This was BY FAR my favorite restaurant in Rome. Stayed in the city for 30 days and tried tons of restaurants, none came close to this one. Great food (seriously the prosciutto and mushroom pizza OMG!) at affordable prices. The service was the most friendly. They went out of their way to make me feel comfortable, when you're dining solo,... More

We ordered a variery of dishes, from pizza, through mixed grill and fillet, to Burger. The food tasted good. However, the burger was served after 15 minutes, and the rest of the food was served at various intervall,... More

My friend and I were staying around the corner from La Mucca in San Lorenzo. We tripped upon it on our first night after arriving in Rome at 9pm. It was very full. There were menus in both Italian and English. We ordered pizza each, mine was the best pizza I have had, and they were huge, we could hardly... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo may look all street with its pulse in urban art and street food, but don’t be fooled. This gritty student neighbourhood immediately east of Termini train station is on the avant-garde rise. Art galleries, curated mural projects by artists like Rome’s favorite Alice, charming cafes, and boutique restaurants are slowly infiltrating the streets of San Lorenzo with counter-culture chic. Don’t worry, San Lorenzo still retains its local vibe with weekend festivals and demonstrations, and is always a hub for Rome’s university student scene.
