We had dinner here and can absolutely recommend this restaurant. The pasta with truffle and pasta with clams & bottarga were great!!! 👌👍🏽

We were really looking forward to this special birthday meal. The restaurant is lovely, the pasta was delicious but our main courses were awful. Baby lamb chops were rock hard mutton. Steak pepe Verde was raw and sauce was split. To be fair the delightful waiter re-cooked our meal but it was just as bad second time around. We didn't... More

The trofie porcini & lardo, the carciofi, the Vitello Marsala, the spinach, the potatoes, the porcini mushrooms, the wait staff....... simply wholesome and divine! Well done and can't wait to return!

Last meal of our trip. Warm welcome, relaxed friendly, Italian atmosphere. Food was lovely. Reasonably priced. Would visit again.

I rely on Trip Advisor to search out and find the best restaurants in every city we visit. I saw Vecchia Locanda on line and thought the restaurant had a charming and inviting atmosphere. I wrote to them from the USA to request a reservation for 6 on Dec. 26. I asked if we could sit in the cantina at... More

With pasta made in house, a house wine that tastes like a million bucks, and a cozy warm environment, anyone would feel like they just stepped into grandmas house eating here. Each time I eat here, I try something new. Ravioli covered in porcini mushrooms and bursting with soft ricotta is one of my favorites and well as lamb on... More

La Locanda Vecchia was recommended by a friend and Rome resident, who met us for dinner. Early, we walked into the small but very quaint, rustic setting full of old-city charm. As they have no place to store cases of wine, the walls are line with their bottled inventory, making it feel like an old world wine cellar. Our meal... More

This restaurant is beautifully decorated and has a lovely atmosphere. I really enjoyed my gnocchi here, I feel that each course was over seasoned with salt. Maybe it's to get you to drink more wine! And when eating there we noticed a lot of other tourists mostly, probably down to our relying on TripAdvisor. The service was lovely and the... More

I wish I could be in Rome more often just so that I could dine at Vecchia Locanda ... the fantastic food, great wine and exemplary service. Local cuisine made as it should be, fresh and delicious, all made 'in-house' The house wine is the best 'house wine' I have tasted anywhere ... you would spend many euros to get... More
