We visited this restaurant in August, due to the reviews of Trip Advisor..Unfortunately, it didn't work..The food was average, the service poor, not easy to communicate since no one was speaking English..The prices relatively high, to get a receipt you must ask for it..not recommended..

This restaurant could easily be 3.5-4 stars... BUT waiter... instantly made this a 1 star. From the moment we walked in... we felt unwelcome. It’s like we bothered him! We’re a polite and friendly family... never asked or made unreasonable request! I wish I would...More

Food was ok, wine was expensive. Food choices very limited (including having run out of potatoes to accompany steak!!!). However bill was inflated/miscalculated by nearly 15%. When queried it was immediately adjusted but no apology offered. We were lucky to have spotted this and wonder...More

We went to this restaurant for lunch, having visited the Colosseum, as it is nearby and thought that it would be ideal. The menu did not offer much for vegetarians and the service was very slow. When the food arrived after a long wait, we...More

After reading many reviews on here we decided to visit Osteria Angelino for dinner. The starter of a sharing plate of meats was nice but the bread with it had been toasted to a stone so was inedible. Unfortunately the main course pasta carbonara was...More

Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighbourhood just
west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as
it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet
for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season,
quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its
cobblestone streets. The neighbourhood supports unique
and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime
residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at

The story begins in 1899 when he created the restaurant a stone's throw from Piazza Vittorio Emanuele where it is one of the great markets of the city. In the 30's, Angelo Potetti in turn buy the restaurant. At the end of the 50s, gives it to his daughter Ilde. We will cook for more than 45 years. At the age of 84 years passes the stove to his son Stephen. After a few years it will sell, but the family story will continue as it will be one of the cousins to take the challenge, helped by two other friends. The angelino Bros were born. Today Angelino still remains a place of typical Roman cuisine. The restaurant is located in the heart of the Esquilino district, within walking distance of the Colosseum and San Giovanni in Laterano and Santa Maria Maggiore. Eat us remains an authentic Roman experience.
