Okay so while I loved the vast expanse of inexpensive wine pairings at restaurants in Rome I wanted something a little more elevated. The wine pairings and the food were absolutely impeccable. I had the tasting menu and I was traveling solo and they did...not care I was ordering it by myself. The service staff and owner were all absolutely incredible. This was one of my favorite restaurants in my trip all over Italy. I would highly recommend coming here as it was an amazing and extremely delicious time :)More

We tried the 7 course seafood tasting menu. They modified the menu for a family member with food allergies, and offered equally delicious versions that were gluten and peanut free. They also accommodated a restriction of another food allergen that is uncommon, and outside the...top 9 in the U.S. It was a memorable experience with each course artfully presented and delicious. We really appreciated their inclusive and easy-going approach to modifying the menu for food allergies. That way we all could enjoy the meal. This is probably obvious, but fyi the seven course menu is an experience that requires more time than the average meal. I am glad we took the time for the experience. We went to the restaurant without a reservation, and I explained that I requested a reservation via email a few days before but hadn't heard back. They explained that their reservation request emails do not come directly to them. They were gracious and kind, and immediately found us a table. We recommend you call the restaurant or just show up and see if they can fit you in.More

Delicious, imaginative, well cooked and presented 7 course fish tasting menu. After the amuse bouche and home baked bread (3 different varieties), there were tasting versions of 2 starters, 2 pasta dishes, 2 main courses and a dessert. My favourite was the tuna main course....No complaints at all about the food or food service. The restaurant is not easy to find, a small nondescript door inbetween 2 lively restaurant/bars with outside terrace service. On a warm night, the restaurant is a little too warm and stifling as there are no windows, and the decor felt a little sterile. The toilet facilities are well below the standard you would expect from the prices that are charged, and the cubicle doors were not able to be locked obviously. We love good food that is original and well cooked as this was, but we are not big wine drinkers or connoisseurs, so we felt a bit patronised when it came to ordering the wine and found the wine waiter a little condescending when we didn't want to follow his suggestions.More

We were anxious to dine at Crispi again since we had last year and were bringing friends. It was a bit disappointing this time. The room was very still and hot. We were presented with a starter that was tasty. We decided on the tasting...menu since everything sounded so good. The ravioli were a bit dry and hard even though they were in sauce. The next course with rare tuna, broccoli and a potato cake was acceptable. the dessert, a molten lava cake had no lava. It too was dry. The delight of the meal was our wine, a Venica Colle Sauvignon. Of course, the little music I boxes with the bill is a cute touch. But all in all a bit of a disappointment.More

The door to Ristorante Crispi 19 is right next to a restaurant that has a large deck the extends into the sidewalk. We arrived early on the street and did not immediately see Crispi 19 but verified by asking nearby shops and carefully looked for...the address. Based on the number of excellent reviews on Trip Advisor, we made on line reservations at Ristorante Crispi 19 to celebrate my wife's birthday and our anniversary. Ristorante Crispi 19 is a cozy, classic and comfortable restaurant. Tables were spaced for privacy and there were nice murals on the wall. The owner of the restaurant is on site and he explained the menu to us, made wine suggestions and directed servers. The menu has a focus on seafood with Mediterranean and regional flavors. We chose items al la carte and all were excellently prepared. We followed the owner's advice in terms of a wine selection that paired perfectly with the meal. I wrote that we were celebrating a birthday and an anniversary when I made the reservation months ago. The owner apparently noticed and had kitchen staff decorate our dessert plate with Happy Birthday for my wife and Happy Anniversary for us. He toasted us with Limoncello and it was all so genuine. Weeks later and thousands of miles, we still talk about those gestures of kindness and have fond memories of Ristorante Crispi 19.More

AVOID!!! Upon waiting 1 hour for our food, of which 1 out of the 2 meals did not arrive (and one meal was taken from our table and given to someone else) we were confronted with hostile waiters of whom could not seem to even...be bothered to give us the bill! Instead we were ushered by the waiters into paying €50 for 1 meal and a drink! We ended up in McDonald’s down the road after. AVOID!!! Plenty more friendlier places for better food!More

Food quality is great!!! But expensive!!! The waiter/owner is nice and tried to adhere to all of our allergy needs. The wine selection is not vast and it is as served a room temp wine. I think it should’ve been chilled for a little bit...before. Otherwise, all the food we tried to as good and the ambience is elegant. Not overcrowded and there’s air conditioning inside.More

We had a lovely dinner at Crispi. Kenzo was our waiter. He was excellent. Very attentive. The food was so creative and had such depth with each dish we tried. The combination of flavors really was a unique treat. The owner came by several times...and was a delight. You can tell he cares what his customers want and that they enjoy the food. I had the sea bass which they baked covered in salt. Then Kenzo deboned it. But the best was the Prosecco sauce, which I’ve never had before, and was amazing. My husband got the tuna, which also was exceptional. After eating several heavy hearty meals throughout Rome, it was wonderful to go to a restaurant that specializes in seafood. This will not disappoint, a must try!More

Crispi 19 is a charming local gem featuring fresh farm to table food. We were referred by our hotels concierge and this restaurant did not disappoint. We had one of the best meals of our lives here. We ordered the chefs seafood tasting menu. Each...course was more delicious than the next. The seafood is sourced from a local coastal fisherman daily, it was incredible. You could taste the freshness in ever bite. The waitstaff was impeccable, anticipating our needs before we could ask for things. And the owner is incredibly charming. He engaged with us making sure that we had a wonderful experience. He even gave us a nightcap and bottle of olive oil to remember the restaurant by. 10/10 I would highly recommend this restaurant. It was worth every penny. Next time we are in Rome we will visit again!More

I love fine dining and I've been to many Michelin restaurants. This one was clearly one of the best. Not too exaggerated just to be unique, I could really feel the chef's love and passion to make the guests happy. The tuna was the freshest...one I've ever had in my life (Tuna has always this specific fish odor no matter how you cook, but this one didn't have any smell other than just delicious scent and texture) Strongly recommended. The service was perfect, too.More

Very attentive service, excellent value for money and superbly cooked food. I had the turbot and zuccini, which was perfectly cooked and incredible flavours. My partner had the beef ravioli which was the best ravioli she has ever eaten. Wonderful to talk to the owner...who was very friendly and would certainly recomment to anyone looking for a delicious meal that is not too heavy, especially in summer time.More

Our first night in the eternal city of rome and the bar was set high at Crispi 19. We had the tasting menu which was just amazing. Each course out did the first.
