Literally could eat truck loads ! We arrived on Valentine's Day and despite them being fully booked they squeezed us in very kindly which was so... More

A little out of the way and very little English -- first time did not get past the appetizer which was 10 different samples of fish -- lots of locals -- open for lunch and dinner -- everything fresh -- will return

Hubby and I were ready for lunch and a glass of wine having been soaked in the rain all morning. Found this place on TripAdvisor, only 5 mins walk to the side of the Lateran Basilica (well worth the visit by the way). You get a complimentary half glass of prosecco as a welcome, always a pleasure in my book!... More

Came here with a local. Sunday afternoon. Excellent service, fresh products, family owned and operated. Worth coming here away from the tourist crowd.

Very quiet Saturday lunchtime meal with veggie starter to share. Grilled tuna and grilled sea bream followed by wonderful lemon sorbet. Helped us remember a wonderful time in Rome.

Had 3 great meals here. We're both Coeliacs and we had no trouble ordering. The seafood is great. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Seems to be popular with the locals and tourists. One of the highlights of our Rome trip. Would definitely return. Great for gluten free.

Met friends from Las Cruces NM, who are also here, the meal was the BEST we had in Rome and one of the most reasonably priced. We all had pasta, but they were all awesome, mine was the best. If in Rome go here, great food and service and reasonable prices.

We were in Rome a couple of years ago. We tried several restaurants in the neighbourhood and settled on this one. Went there every evening once we discovered it. Enjoyed the food and the house wine was good. If We are in Rome again this is where we'll be going.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
